Damien carrying out the baby from the bedroom was so pathetically fake. A kids school play could have done better. In fairness like. It was cringeworthy.
He woke her from her nap and then 10 mins later shes asleep again.
    Jesus wept.

Tbf their so mean they probably wouldn't cough up the fee for a days wage to the real kids parents that they usually use

I think it was when Damien was talking to Orla on the street and the 2 extras walk by, a second later they are shown off over the far side of the street and about 5 seconds later they pass by them again.

I felt like Jim Careys character in The Truman Show.

Is all the group living in Eoghan's house, why did he move out?

I hope Eoghan is not put back with Debbie, always thought him and Jane would be a good match

I noticed a lot of cars were driving by in that scene,(think it was that scene) and I think it was the same two cars just going around the block. :D

Not really his fault when the baby itself was fake - how do you cuddle a lump of plastic ?

The "baby" would be fairly sweating in the sleep suit looked like something a child would wear in a snow storm.....delighted for Caoimhe now she knows what Damien was going threw. Orla was too nice to Caoimhe she should have said we'll you drove Damien to take Saoirse and its karma biatch.

He probably kept dropping the real one...clown...

I think if it was real life and Tommy was making sarky comments to his daughters ex all the time he wouldn't be long getting dropped.

It's not as if he was father of the year himself.

The character of Oakley is ridiculous. He wanders around the place (Christmas morning for example he turned up at the house, then headed over to the hospital to discharge Pete before taking a wander over to the Community center, all before 11am. It's Christmas morning, has he nothing better to be doing?). Now he's hiding up in the bleedin' attic???? Are the hospital not concerned as to his whereabouts or does the national staffing crisis not affect Carrigstown??

The gas part is Caoimhe had that conversation with Tommy on Christmas Day and then decided that Damien could spend the whole day with Saoirse not just half the day but then when it looked like Damo abducted his daughter Tommy was flavour of the month again

"the Group" storyline is getting more ridiculous by the day. Such an array of characters that could easily be killed off though..pity its only 2.

I'm thinking Wheely Dan and Oakey, or possibly/hopefully Emmet

That whole group thing has gone to hell in a handcart pretty damn fast. A few things the writers/producers should have made clear.

It appears as though the group itself isn't sinister at all, as Oakley and Emmet influenced by Oakley are the villains. It would be nice if it was actually clarified whether it is a cult, or a genuine self-help group.
Now, to my biggest bugbear/peeve/head scratcher of all: WHY does Oakley want revenge on Miriam??? Okay, so their baby died of cot death, but in no way, shape nor form does he ever infer that it was anything but. It isn't like he confronted her while they were alone and accused her of smothering the baby or being an abusive mother. Had Miriam killed/neglected the baby and no one quite believed him at the time, I could well understand his quest for revenge, or if it was a case of her leaving the baby home alone while he was at work, in order that she meet up with someone she was having an affair with at the time, and he returned home unexpectedly early and found baby Fiona dead and Miriam in absence, I could understand it too. Also, what in God's name happened to his day job??? I assume that he's a hospital consultant and it was implied that he was fairly wealthy, as he mentioned his yacht at one stage, earlier on in his first few episodes, to a colleague after the whole Hannah thing, when he was asking her if what had happened would effect his position at St.Catherine's. Why are the hospital not wondering where the eff he is? Did he take holidays or days owed just to destroy a self help group run by his ex - a group which consists of about only five or six people? And again; why? Does he resent Miriam for her breakdown? And why is it so important that he wreck her little group? Maybe that's one of the reasons why patients on trollies are lining the corridors in hospitals - hospital consultants are all hiding out in the attics of their ex's soon to be ex boyfriend's houses plotting revenge for God knows what:P
For God's sake, it's ridiculous, because in order to seek revenge you have to have a damn good reason for doing so, or else have a deep conviction that the other person has wronged you somehow. Yet, all that was mentioned was a child who died of natural causes, the nervous breakdown and self harm of the mother, and how he wanted to destroy her and get her out of the group, making you immediately feel more sympathetic towards Miriam whom you initially believed an evil, brainwashing cult leader.... It still doesn't explain his reasoning; it was her her child too, and she suffered enough.... Why is he doing any of it??? It makes about as much sense as THE PLAN did to me....

Just read in the entertainment section of the RTE website that Oakley is a trauma surgeon - Jesus wept - and he's taking time away from saving lives to ruin his ex and take over her self help group???? The mind boggles..... :D

I dont get this hate for the cult storyline. Its the best thing that has happened to FC in years. It seems some people are just not happy unless they are giving out.

To the people who seem to hate it, what exactly would there be if there wasn't this storyline? Exactly what would you be watching in FC if the cult storyline wasn't there- Orla and Wayne arguing about money? Paul having his 100th affair? Delores walking past Vinos arm in arm with Pete, both of them giving out about everyone else? Is that what you call entertainment??

AT least FC have tried something different with this storyline and although its not perfect, nothing is and I for one really appreciate their effort and think its a great storyline and actually very relevant to modern times, what with all the mental health campaigns that are ongoing.

Does being a trauma surgeon allow him to check patients like Pete and have them discharged from hospital...doubt it somehow. Pete's plaster/scar healed fierce quick as well
