Great detective work when they heard a plane and tracked Damo down to the airpot.. eh FC you're set on the Northside - a fair chunk of which is in the flight path of Dublin Airport lol lol! We joked about that in our kitchen this morning as a plane was flying over the house! :pac:

I'd predict Dan will die in upcoming episodes but probably 'redeem' himself to some extent by saving someone's life. He'll wheel across at full speed and take the fire from Oakley's.... lethal weapon.

It would be great if Emmet went too. We used complain about the air space given to Niamh and Paul. But to be frank this idiotic gobshi*e has been given way too much soap time since his arrival in FC 2 or 3 years ago. From his attempts to fight off Ciaran, transformation from waster to whatever status he is now, he has been an utterly pathetic character. Lacking in any sort of intelligence, courage, judgement etc.

I predict this is what will happen to Dan. Dan will then be seen as a hero even by Robbie and Aoife.

Emmett is as strange character. He was brought in as a lazy, drunken gambler and a minor character. His role increased during the Katy kidnap story. He had opportunities to overcome Ciaran and rescue Katy but failed.

He is totally brainwashed by Oakley. Oakley knows this and uses him to do his dirty work. Emmett will survive I feel and will then be transformed into something else.

Just noticed on the credits for the latest cringe inducing episode they have listed no less than FIVE storyline writers as well as the usual episode writer, a story editor, a scene by scene writer (whatever the f... that is) and a script editor who, presumably, liaises with the two-strong Scripting Department.

Amazing that it takes so much creative input to produce such dross. Not that long I recall perusing the credits and the only listing was a single writer and the production staff.

I must have missed the FC 25 year appearance on the late late show a few years back, someone said the actors were up their own at%ses, did anyone see it??

I'm sure some of them are normal but definitely that Sorcha Furlong one has that look about her that she really thinks she is someone. I can 100% see her saying in a restaurant "Do you know who I am?". Mondo, too.

Thanks for that, I didn't know that. It seems anyone working in RTE has some kind of connection to family or had family who acted in shows. Carol was a baby in the Riordans and look at Blathnaid Treacy- she has a job for life just because she was the baby in Glenroe. Such a crying shame that Carol probably wont be blown to pieces in this cult. Her character should have been ditched years ago.

Since it is more or less the successor story to the Katy kidnap and related, it would be the obvious way of re-introducing Ciaran. Another possibility is Oakley 'helped' Ciaran and made him what he was.

I also feel that there needs to be a strong story to counterbalance the awful Kerrie Ann baby one that we are going to get. I feel that characters like her need to be made more interesting. At least, they made Dan relevant again and in a real story of late rather than that Condors drivel.

It was yer man who plays Damo who sticks out in the memory as the biggest knob of them all....going out of his way to make sure everyone was aware he drives a BMW.

Once again, FC has plumbed the depths of incredibility and inconsistency.
The RTÉ Announcer said "Tonight's episode may not be suitable for young children."
Damn right it wasn't, hun . Neither was it suitable for older children, teenagers, young adults, old adults, pensioners, or in fact anyone who isn't in a deep and irrecoverable coma.

A few examples :

Oakley - Doakley was up in the attic of a three - storey town house, yet had no trouble hearing conversations down on the ground floor.
Maybe that's why the extras in the group don't speak. Nobody likes an eavesdropper...

But the weirdest part was Oakley handing his No 1 fan, Emmett, the little fire-engine-red 'gun' that looked exactly like the one my grandson got from Santa. (it only makes a noise)
Emmet : "What is this thing? "
Doc : " Its a machine for shaving a dog's bollocks.... What the hell do you think it is? It's a fcukin' flare gun, ya eegit. Keep it pointed at that lot. Especially that ould wan with the headscarf and mittens . She worries me. She's been here six weeks now and hasn't opened her mouth. Remember, Emmett, it's always the quiet ones that are the worst..... "

It's strange. Some people will say that ' Fawlty Towers' or 'Only Fools and Horses' are among the best comedies on TV. Obviously those people haven't seen an episode of Fair City yet. And if they're very lucky, they never will.

Oakley could hear people downstairs from the attic but nobody heard Miriam shout. If the hoover was supposed to be a cover they should’ve had the sound in the background of the bedroom scene....as for the brush..give me a break.

The appeal by Caoimhe was great. “please bring my baby back. She needs to be in her own bed”.. that’ll really pull on Damian’s heart strings considering she was taking her to Munich.

Ill say one thing for Carol though. The girl can in some way act. Her character may be annoying but she seems authentic.
