If that is 42 euro than it is a little pricey. Odeon point village is around 35 for adult and two kids. 3d is obviously more expensive.

Not so much difference so. Add in BK x 3 for lunch and that was another 40 franks. Luckily no babysitter to pay this time...

Costa: Would you like cream on the side with your cake?
    Thomond: Yes please.

    *Reads receipt*

    Cream 0.50

    **** off with that.

All day I've been looking forward to putting my feet up with a beer and watching the movie Spike Island.

Dirty Dancing is good though...I can live with that.

    FML...

Apparently they do though. In the corner with a nice cold IPA and a bag of peanuts.

I turned it over when she went for another glass of wine. Very funny indeed.

Wait till the bairn is there. You'll murder a man for five minutes alone.

  • Went out with herself to the pub last night. Table next to us was a load of 50-ish year old lads who had obviously gotten away from the wives for an evening. They were like a pack of kids, it was gas.

I was a good boy in the cinema today and went without popcorn, now those prices are outrageous!

Picked up the Gospel according to Blind Boy going through the airport last night, best book I’ve read in a very long time. There’s one particular short story in it, that’s probably the most accurate depiction of anxiety, depression and panic attacks I’ve ever read and yet still manages to be funny in a rather twisted way. Really glad I picked it up.

Nothing compared to London, £42 for 2 adults and a child to see Paddington 2, that’s just the tickets without popcorn or anything else.

I paid EUR 8.73 in Omniplex Limerick for a MAXX screen in the cheaper afternoon slot.

How did it end up an uneven amount? Some discount?

That was 1.50 showing, nothing special. Will never complain about Dublin prices.

Yes: You sign up for an account and get 10% off.

A large popcorn and large drink would have been EUR 9.10, more than the ticket!

So I bought a Chromebook from Amazon for my sister in the Black Friday sales but found it cheaper elsewhere about 10 minutes later. So I get on to Amazon and tell them to cancel the order. Guy tells me they can't cancel it because it hasn't been dispatched  but assures me as soon as it is he'll issue the cancellation.

A few days later I get a notification from Parcel Wizard to say they've received it and want me to top up the account so they can deliver. So I get onto Amazon again and tell them what the first guy said. They tell me not to do anything and that they'll contact PW directly and get it sorted. In the mean time I see the pending charge on my bank account has disappeared so I assume its all okay.

So I give it a another few days and notice the pending delivery is still there from DPD, so I get on to Amazon a third time. Guy is super apologetic and tells me the last guy screwed up and he's gonna log some sort of ticket to get it all fixed up.

So a charge from Amazon is debited from my bank account and a few days later I'm refunded the same but actually lost a bit on the exchange rate but there still a pending delivery from DPD. So I give another week and then top up my account so they can deliver and now I have a free Chromebook :D

Question is, do I tell them or do I just keep it? A guy in work said the same thing happened to him and they never came looking.

Give it to me and I'll get it back to them...

I'll spin round and pick it up off you there and I'll bring it over to Venjur

His podcast is gas. He read stories from the book in the first 3 or 4 episodes and they were excellent. Will pick it up myself when I get to a book shop

Depending on how much a chrome book goes for it’s not beyond the bounds of possibility that If you contacted them they would simply tell you to keep it after all the hassle.

Relying on my very old biz studies knowledge but they have a period of time (6months?) to look for it back, after that it’s yours. If it’s unreteunable when/if they come looking for it you’ll be on the hook for it.

Personally I’d probably just tell them but in a complainy kind of way (after all this hassle it has still turned up etc)

If you're ok with stealing a Chromebook then keep it.

    You wouldn't download a chromebook
