There's no "Special Edition" of BOTW with the DLC included. I've seen this mentioned a few times around here in the last number of days.

People are probably getting confused with the bundled edition on the Nintendo store. Had to ge it for my nephew last night.

My parents told me that there was for some reason.

The Season Pass is 2.6 GB according to the below link. Since you're getting the games on carts you'll be fine with the internal memory for now.

Might be thinking of the Explorer Edition release with the map and guide? Doesn't appear to include the dlc, which is mad given the release coincides with the GOTY award, typically the catalyst for releasing a definitive edition

Hmm, is that available in Ireland by some chance? Not that I need the Explorer's Edition, but just curious.

Well, there almost certainly will be a GotY edition.
BotW is going to sell for as long as they sell new Switch consoles.
So expect 4/5 years of income to be generated by the title for Nintendo, and many years more on further consoles via their equivalent of VC/Remaster and so on.
A GotY edition will add value to an already incredible title, but they'd be mad to make it available now, not when the title is only in it's sales infancy.

I'm sure the port to the Super Switch will have everything included.

Mine too. If only I had something to play it on.

Don't get too excited though. I haven't opened it and I'm in 2 minds about keeping it. I think I made a mistake and may end up either returning it or selling it.

Play it. No console is perfect and this one definitely has some short comings. But there's so much good going for it too. Happy gaming!

Your only mistake was waiting so long!

Do hope you decide to crack it open and enjoy your purchase :)

Has anyone played the Co-op in Mario Rabbids when I see it there? Whats it like and how much of the game can be co-op

The rumours are true! All you need to do now is open it, play it, and fall in love with it. I’m surprised you went with the neon console, since you were previously complaining about it having differently coloured left and right joycons (among one or two or... a few other complaints :pac:), but I prefer it way more than the grey version as the colours just make it look more fun. :)

A few places online are selling Joycon cases with d-pads integrated. It will require some balls and some skill to mod.

    It looks so nice!

Here's an Amazon link. Doesn't ship direct to Ireland so it'll be a parcel motel job. I'm sure there are others out there.

There are a few YouTube tutorial videos.

If anyone has bought a Switch lately - How long do the updates take when you turn it on for the first time now?

My nephew got one for Christmas and not sure if I should tell my sister to set it up before Christmas. If the update is only like 20 minutes it'll be fine to leave it.

Updates could be 20 minutes now (network connection quality dependant) but on christmas day the sheer amount of people updating means nintendo's servers could slow down or your network provider could have bottlenecks from everyone downloading PS4/Xbox updates/games.

Best to just get it out of the way the week before if you can.
