That’s a car that’s aged well! Simple clean unfussy lines, no gimmicks... it’s a far better looker than many of its modern counterparts.

Neighbour had one of them Stillos, a 2003 one. Bought it from new. Always admired it as a young lad. There was only 45,000 miles on it when she died 2 years ago. (she actually died in the car :o God rest her!) See it knocking around Galway city the odd time, it's not a car that you see around much anymore.

The 5 door is a rotten looking thing though.
The 3 door and even the estate are far better looking.
Pity the engine choices here were so vanilla, they're diesel engines and even the 20v were quite reliable.

There's a fella locally has a navy blue one with the 3 spoke Abarth wheels. Looks tasty.

I remember the launch of the Stilo. Still have the toy one the dealer gave me. My son plays with it now!
Had a string of Italian stuff at the time and nearly pulled the trigger on one but they were very slow compared the the older models. The spec on the launch models was brilliant.

Love it Cian, what a car.

Nice looking car, i drove one before and was a bit underwhelmed, not sure which version it was though. The RX7 was a different animal altogether, but you'd need your own petrol station to keep one fed

Know what it is? It's that time of year again....

    For context:

    2014

    2015

    2016

And seeing as this was the year of the Avensis... Sometimes a sharp dressed man needs to say I need you tonight and go for a drive

Ask me last year what I'd have for the picture and I'd have laughed if you said an Avensis... Let alone 2 different ones!!!

2018 is your guess as to what I'll have :p

The thing about the RX8 is all the power is over 5/6000rpm so if you're not driving it hard you can be underwhelmed. The real joy of the car is its chassis though. 50/50 weight distribution and a very low centre of gravity thanks to the tiny engine fitted in a front/mid set up. When driven hard they are great but like the RX7 they absolutely abuse the fuel tank!

I'd love and FD Spirit R but that's way down the line. You're talking 7-10 times the price!
