Ok but €70 that seems way to steep....

Just as an FYI, my pressed plates (x2) with standard font from eireplates were €31 earlier this year.

    Whereabouts?

    €20 for 2

Are you Limerick based Colm? Limerick Motor factors on Parnell St do them.

  • Registered Users Posts: 73,382 ✭✭✭✭colm_mcm

I got them already for my own in Stonebridge but paid more than that for a pair. If If I could get a pair for €20 I’d get them for the camper build.

Anyone in Dublin the Motor factors in Artane on malahide road beside the pub/betting shop do them for 16 euro (metal ones)

Anyone in Limerick Munster car parts on Ballysimon road do them for 20 euro (plastic ones)

I put the E92 back up for sale as I've seen a project I want (Mk 2 TT quattro). I won't quote the pics, but if anyone's interested give me a shout. If it doesn't go it's getting a serious summer detailing.

I tried following the guide, but still can't embed the pic. If someone could oblige: https://ibb.co/z7ZNJhc

Yup, done the research for sure! And the pickup pipe.

Pick up pipe isn't really as much as an issue as the old 1.8T even then it was more the longitudinal engines.

Haldex service, and cam follower inspection/replacement are the 2 big lads.

Only a 418d, much smaller than it looks :( But it runs well, 110k km. Might remap the ECU, the engine's well able for it, should bring it up to par with a 420d. Previous owner put on replica 666m wheels, 20 inch.

Nice Car I seen it about Cork pity it's only a 316D..

Fine car, there's a few f30s on here. May be common knowledge, but I use it a fair bit now for choosing music. On Android auto to use voice recognition you need to do a long press of the button to by pass the in car voice recognition. My car just has basic Bluetooth streaming but a long press of the voice recognition button flicks on Google assistant, who then can play Spotify requests etc. Pretty handy.

Does your phone need to be connected to aux or is Bluetooth okay? And you long press the voice button on the steering wheel controls?

I have enhanced Bluetooth but not android auto.

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,381 ✭✭✭vintagevrs

Just connected via Bluetooth, should work fine.

Both cars got some treatment the past few days, the A4's first polish! They're nothing fancy compared to some of the cars here, but they're looked after and do the work without complaining.
