Hi all! We have been experiencing an issue on site where threads have been missing the latest postings. The platform host Vanilla are working on this issue. A workaround that has been used by some is to navigate back from 1 to 10+ pages to re-sync the thread and this will then show the latest posts. Thanks, Mike.

Does anyone know when we can get internet and tv in? Is there anything we have to do or is it up to Nevilles?

The Virgin connection should be ready by the end of next week or start of the following week

Do you mind me asking where in estate your house is. We've now been told it will be February before completion of ours - we are in the row 51-65. The constant push backs are incredibly frustrating, I just hope they get their act together now and get on with them!

We are located in the same row and were also advised of a Feb 2018 completion date in our latest update.

I really was hoping that after the first few people moved in that the releases would start to ramp up.

We’re in that same row and for all we know we are still living in in December - we haven’t been told otherwise! I refuse to contact them for updates because the onus is on them to update us on delays. It’s incredible that I have to find out on this thread that I won’t be in my house before Christmas. It’s horrible!

Still waiting on paperwork. They should never have issued notice of closing when they hadn't everything ready. I had arranged deliveries etc and had to reschedule everything. No doubt it's the same for everyone...

Wonder if they are doing a prelaunch this weekend? They did that last year. Had a unadvertised prelaunch the week before the daft dates.

Has anyone received confirmation from Savills about the times for this weekend's open viewings?

EDIT - Just saw on daft that they've moved it from this weekend to next weekend! That's a bit annoying!

And AN now say 'I don’t believe the November date is achievable'. So, in summary, paid holding deposit in November 2016, signed contracts and completed deposit payment by late Jan 2017, told house would be ready June/July 17, now going into 12 months of this BS. Have bought furniture for an october completion, have the shops ringing me weekly asking can they send it out. Eh, no. 3 mortgage applications done at this stage. Was out to the estate today, no builders working on site. I wonder are they taking the whole thing seriously at all........

Arh mate I feel your pain. We are the same with the furniture company harassing us. We bought our furniture in Feb. What can we do though? It will all be worth it in the end.... the thought mentality Iam hanging onto.

That came in on Friday afternoon. They are waiting on feedback from the site for a more 'accurate' timeline during the week.

That's so dissapointing. Did they let you know what an achievable date is?does it look like there is much left to complete on your house?

    Hi all,

Any update when you are getting the keys? Also still no broadband around here.

  • Registered Users Posts: 2 Resscm

    Hi,

Has anyone in the 43-50 row had any updates lately? We were originally told May/June and then it looked like we'd get a notice to close a few weeks ago and now we're being told we're unlikely to be in the house before Christmas despite the fact we may have snagged as there'll be delays with the council. Beyond frustrated at this stage and in the same boat as many others with regards furniture etc!

  • Registered Users Posts: 43 LeeC1990

Did they say what the delays with the council are?

Just that the paperwork can take up to 3 weeks and as Christmas is coming up, it's unlikely to be done before Christmas

    Hi

Dose any one know how was the sale in phase 2? any one queued last week? with the never end delay and price up, just wonder what the buyer market react for this builder?

  • Registered Users Posts: 9 seetheworld

It was delayed until yesterday, there was a lot of people around but I don't think it was more or less amount of people than the launch we went to in Nov. I don't know if they sold many houses though!

Was talking to one of the EA guys on Sat. Thet released around 30 houses for this phase and by lunchtime on Sat they had sold between 18-20 of them

    Hi,

We purchased in Nov 2016,row 51 onwards, not getting any definite answers from AN - they are so poor at responding to queries or updates. We were also originally told of a completion date of May/June 2017. Then told of delays until August 2017,end of October, end of November & then mid December but not definite. So frustrating not getting answers or being given any indication of when we might snag. Also had to re apply for a Mortgage ,change holidays & furniture deliveres. Frustrated & really fed up. Can't believe they launched phase 2 at the weekend !!

We’re in that row too. We had someone out at the launch on Sunday and the estimate agent told them that the house won’t be finished until January - still all hearsay at the minute. I passed by the houses the other day and there has been no external plastering done for the last few weeks on that row but yet new structures being put up. Surely delays with the council are not delaying the plasterers.

Just wondering if there has been any success with getting Broadband and TV suppliers to the estate? was talking with Sky there today about canceling my current contract as we have to move back to the in laws house for an undefined period of time and he was saying that it is just dependant on Eir activating the exchang. any info appreciated :)

I also called out to the launch of P2 at the weekend. They said that they expect to be able to move into the first of the houses there from july through to end of 2018.

I received this email from AN this evening
"I would like to confirm that Anthony Neville Homes have completed all ducting and associated works in relation to Virgin Media.  Our contracts manager spoke with a virgin media representative this afternoon and they have acknowledged that the connection works are now to be completed by Virgin Media"
I'll be following up with virgin tmro and will post any further info

I had to move in with the folks too. I was advised to strip my sky tv package back to the basic. Approx 26 p/m. That way i could avail of a free home move. Saves a new connection fee. They also said I'd lose my loyalty status??

All Phase 1 houses should have received an updated completion date today from ANH. Now facing another delay. We are in this row of houses and have been advised of a March / April completion date.

WOW, one and half yr waiting time for a new house, that is insane, forgive the rent that you have paid during the waiting time ( well, only if you pay rent).

I too have received an update from AN today. After many delays we were told Dec two weeks ago and now we are told Feb/March for notice of closure. Absolute disgrace! The amount of postponed holidays there have been and harassment from the furniture store! What a joke!

Yeah we've received the same update!

Yep, we received that news too- delayed to April- cannot understand at this stage the reasons for further delay. Is it lack of manpower, poor management or something else??

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 133 ✭✭g3l8usd9inoptz

The reasons I heard for the delay is due to the sewage pipes being laid incorrectly and therefore the houses cannot be signed off until fixed, god only knows how long that will take. The council won't sign off on these houses till then.

Where did you hear that from? AN are certainly tight lipped to provide any kind of explanation. Kind of wonder when we get to our completion month will they just push it out again!

Yes I know they had problems with the pipes but that was months ago and must be sorted now otherwise people wouldn't have been able to move in. I can't understand what the delay is now that our house is up- is it just poor time management, lack of tradesmen, you would think they'd want us all in as soon as possible so they can get their money!

Hi. Anyone manage to get internet in the estate yet? Virgin still not available. Any joy with any other providers and are they any good? Thanks in advance

  • Registered Users Posts: 43 LeeC1990

No, cannot get answers from ANH. They are pointing the finger at Virgin and Virgin are pointing the finger at them. As far as I know, you can't get broadband in the estate yet until Virgin connect the lines or something?!

  • Registered Users Posts: 34 Lexi77

I spoke with someone in virgin on Friday. Said once they updated the system over the weekend I would be able to order Monday. Rang today and he had no clue what I was talking about. No update on their system since October. Will have to try again tmro. My phone signal is weak in the area so it's driving me crazy!
