Rain here since about 6am. Not lashing but just constant. Cows seem happy out though they're staying outside the house at the highest part of the hill.

Twas pissing down here all night, just showers this morning and seems to have eased off now.
It could be a very early winter.

Washed outa it all afternoon, and the lads are in putting slatts on the tank, some day for it. Cows spent much of the day at the gap . double pull of nuts this evening definitely.

Rain cleared off here but it's been persistent since about 5.30 this morning but wasn't heavy.

We have another 5 acres of bales to cut because the self propelled harvester was heading into dodgy territory cutting yesterday so we pulled out.

More heavy rain forecast tomorrow night again too so it might be there a while.

Just stopped raining here now. On the plus side there was no flies in the milking parlour this evening

Unreal day here, the land is absolutely soaked. no shortage of grass but it really is not worse a curse atm. Cattle are just ploughing up the place.
The rest of the week isn't too hot either.

Lot of rain forecast for sat down here

  • Registered Users Posts: 11,194 ✭✭✭✭Nekarsulm

Rained from dawn, never stopped all day. Moving some sheep and land we cut bales off last Wednesday is incredibly wet, no way could it be travelled on now.
Quite a bit of stuff baled locally yesterday evening, fields very much "touch and go".
Wrapped bales not shifted last night wouldn't be got to now....
