Nice. Will sleep well tonight, won't go winless this year.

Many years of watching Jets, (started in 1967 I think), one thing I've learned: Jets/Miami, throw out the records, throw out the standings. Anything can happen and does, regularly.

Pleasantly surprised to say the least. One and for fifteen here we come.

I had season's tickets that year!

Happy days, watched the game this morning, the defense looked exactly like it should (albeit against a very poor cutler and co) and the offense was clicking well. Good to see Anderson turning it on again and ASJ back in the game.

It was a really complete and competent performance. Jacksonville at home next weekend with their London hangover offers a reasonable chance at momentum too. We are in a pretty stupid situation with the interests of the players and head coach diametrically opposed to the front office of the organisation. A win next week would be a disaster given the great lengths to which we went running the roster down in the offseason.

I've thought about it but I want the Jets to win as many games as possible this year as every year, can't watch games rooting for my favourite sports team to lose week in week out. What happens in the draft happens.

hmmmmmm, seems Davis deserves some credit!!

I agree, but the Jets as an organisation don't. What may really boil your noodle is what the performance yesterday might have looked like with the likes of Richardson, Decker and Harris out there...

Richardson fair, Decker and Harris are doing sfa with in their new homes, same as prior and Marshall.

Richardson is the only one performing and even then Kearse and a 2nd is looking like a great trade at the moment.

I'd delighted that (after 1 win) the building blocks are looking slightly more sturdy than expected, even if it does end up costing us draft places because of some "meaningless" wins.

Probably the most enjoyable Jets game I've been to. What a fun day even though we were almost an hour late but it was still scoreless when we got in. Absolutely steaming day so was worried about our $40 seats but at the top of the stadium they were shaded!
Thought it was a very controlled performance and reflective of the negative abuse they were getting throughout the week. There was a definite pride sunday.

McCown was solid and his pass to Anderson for the TD late in the first half was an ice breaker and the reaction in the stadium was tremendous. The Dolphins were absolutely woeful and Cutler must be wondering why he didnt retire a Bear! His struggle was real in the stinking heat getting sacked.

Forget the draft. If you are a Jets fan you will want your team to win games. End of.

Hard fought win today to go 2-2. I know the majority of us would like a new shiny QB, but its the young guys that have been playing exceptional stuff the last to weeks and seem to be playing with a real fire in their belly. Cant get mad at that! Browns next week and then the pats at home and the dolphins away, realistically they could have a winning record going into week 8.

Great game, did well to pull through having tried to throw it away! Very impressed with some of our younger lot.

Noob-y question, I was listening with the sound off, for the fumble and return for 6, why was it not an incomplete pass? I've always assumed to fumble a ball you have to first be in control of it?

I read that they ruled it a backwards pass which is like a handoff hence fumbleable

Yep, basically if the QB throws it backwards and nobody catches it, its still a live ball

I didn't even consider that, makes sense!

Very happy with the win on Sunday. Great to finally signs of good coaching and also that the front office may have had a half decent draft (3 starters at least) and a few half decent free agents. No matter how much the 1st pick sound system good I have found that I just can't roother for the Jets to lose!
I have been watching some college games and software far this season I have seen Darnold, Falk, Rosen and Mayfield. I don't think there is any sure thing worth tanking for. Rosen has the best arm, Falk has bounced back after a tough 1st week, Mayfield is the best baller (winner/intangibles) and I feel Darnold could be the next Sanchez. Don't know who I would take yet and love the look of Saquon Barkley but would love to here who others on here would take.

Need to get rid of those white fan towels asap. Flushing Meadows is in a different state...

Woot. 3-2. Hopefully Powell back next week and whatever was broken with the running game, gets fixed. Defense played well enough, 'coming out party' for Marcus Maye in a lot of ways, Adams didn't have the greatest of games.

But still, 3-2. Didn't think I'd see the 3rd win till November if then. In a 3 way tie for first!

Yeah it was real ugly, but a wins a win! The line was the problem with the run game, they created zero holes. The rush defence is also a pretty big problem!

A shockingly ugly performance. In some ways lucky it was the Browns. A better time would have put us to the sword.

Still on a three game winning streak. Happy days

With big bad New England up next at home... now *that* would be a win.

Very ugly win but we'll take it. Probably Adams worst performance imo.

Well fcuk me, that was a worse loss than last week. Embarrassing 4th quarter collapse and then McCown decides he's not interested in OT.

Didn't watch. Glad I didn't, had a conflict. Yeesh. Bad enough to lose winnable games, but not enough to get a great QB prospect in the draft.

Oh well. Not over yet. But, uggh.

Shocking by McCown to lose it, sidelines covered so that the clock is in play. He throws it at a lad covering the sideline. What's wrong with a draw play if you are on your own 20 yard line in a tie game....

Sickening defeat. Nearly as bad as losing to the Pat's last week.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 36,779 ✭✭✭✭LuckyLloyd

McCown made a mistake. He's been playing great the past few weeks. We fundamentally are less talented than our opposition most weeks, so games are going to be lost. I really enjoyed how unexpectedly competitive we've been.

Thought "great, a win over a divisional rival after what happened last week" and then the collapse. That loss actually hurt, could of set up for a very few interesting weeks. The joys of being a Jets fan eh?!

A prominent Jet fan blogs about the Jets. My summary: "Winter is coming, the Jets usually play worse then. Maybe the worse teams can win a few and the Jets not."
