Just heard Courtney for the first time in a couple of weeks, you just kind of forget just how bad he is.
"My learned colleague, the leader of the opposition, a coalition on the...." and his stupid f*cking sound affects.

I think Nova could do with a real shake up, both in the presenters and in the playlists, but that's just me ....

    Is it not "lernered"?

That he isn't normally on weekday daytimes, and that it was a nice surprise to hear him in Greg's slot.

Considering he has a slight stammer, it's hardly surprising.

I know that and theres little reason to mention it..it was'nt his stammer, it was the err's and mmm's of confusion...but he did play some nice "irregular" stuff..loved the Bowie track...

Over the past few days I've heard, Duran Duran, Soft Cell, Bob Marley, Eurythmics on daytime Nova.
All decent enough (except Duran sh*te Duran) if you like that kind of music, but Nova now is just becoming A N Other radio station.
It's only really Pat James for me that plays decent rock music.
Nova should just throw their hat in with  4fm/ Today FM/2FM and just be another bland station, could do with a new PD, oh wait.....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 6,984 ✭✭✭Max Headroom

They've lost their identity as a rock station imo....bit like MTV Rocks..boy bands with guitars and hair products...:)
sorry that should be hair products and guitars....

A DJ trying to be 'hip.' I don't mind Pat Courtenay, in all honestly. He has some sort of sense of humour at least, even if it's to an acquired taste.

Ye really shouldn't deny the listening public with what is clearly a winning radio host style.

Don't be selfish, send in your audio additions to KB straight away, so he can pick the most astounding.

But be warned, your awesomeness will come with the downside that this thread will become largely redundant.

    Thanks in advance.
