I don't know what's worse the fact that Sue put up the jeans on Depop or the fact that someone out there actually bought them! It just reconfirms the fact there people out there that will buy anything related to bloggers they love

Awful scabby to mark up the jeans, just because she had her arse in them, especially when then were given for free/sponsored.

Were they reduced to 7 in penney's or is that the actual price of them?

Just trying to see a logical explanation here

They were reduced to 7euro and that's the price she bought them at. She showed them off on snapchat as part of her sponsored Penneys haul.

They are no longer on depop now

What's the Make Up Academy being referred to? Is it the one the Aimee Connolly is setting up?
    Edit : I don't follow Sue's snapchat.

For makeup she was sooooo happy with it she didn't even keep it on either haha her make-up was removed and redone in the snaps later that day!!

Maybe the eyeshadow wore off :pac:

So sue me didn't #ad any of her Galway posts on Facebook or Instagram. They paid her to be there and not a sniff of #ad.

Don't know why everyone's so surprised at so sue mes lack of transparency, she never ever disclosed anything, she milked and reaped for all she was worth, then acted like a complete chav on social media over "jealous haters" if you were not complimenting her constant plugging certain brands.

Times have changed now people are more wide to it but she milked this for years without having to declare diddly squat so I can't see that changing

That's who I was on about in previous posts she might put one #ad on about 20 snaps! The whole day yday was sponsored and hardly any sign of a #! No point saying anything to ASAI cos they just fob it of! Happened the last time I did it so won't bother wasting my time again!!!

    The ASAI are farcical

I saw Just Jordan had some snaps up recently where she had the #iworkwithpenneys and #ad on them. And on her Insta stories she used the paid partnership with thing on a product she was reviewing last night. I wasn't really following her before but the fact she seems to be making an effort to be transparent makes me more inclined to watch her content over some others who clearly can't be bothered putting #ad up

Would Sue be getting that villa she is in gifted? I just wonder because there isn't a mention of it, and while I know sponsored and gifted is a bit of a grey area I'm just wondering really

#iworkwithpenneys....every time I see it, I just flick over. It annoys the life out of me. Just put #ad on it and feck off

Wouldn't be at all surprised, especially as it seemed so last-minute.
She said she'll post the details once she's left the place, it's an Airbnb.

I recall the lovely Emer from Penneys To Prada saying that it had been agreed between Primark and the ASAI that #iworkwithpenneys and #iworkwithprimark can be used in place of #ad.

I sound like a begrudger and im really not, i do take my hat off to sue shes built a good very profitable business from starting out just blogging and theres no doubt she (and pippa and the rest of them put in the hard work and time), but does anyone else find it a bit showey off? Like a bit much showing off all these private villas?
Sorry slightly off topic, but its also wondering about the #ad and #spon but i suppose we will never know that bit.

Had Sue ever mentioned building a house before last week? Its possible she did, I don't watch her daily.

It was the first id heard of it, but sometimes skip through a lot of her snapchat updates and im not on instagram. As far as i can make out, she doesnt even have a site, i could be wrong on that one.

That's what I was thinking, she talks as though they have a site and are in final planning the way she "as you know, Dzylan and I are building"...eh no we didn't actually and until you actually have planning permission, layouts signed off and the builders lined up, you ain't building.

No she never mentioned it before this week when she was asked to go to that selfbuild convention!

Louise McSharry uses both hashtags in her Penneys posts.

In fairness the ASAI should never have agreed to allow #iworkwithpenneys instead of #ad there should be one rule across the board that everyone has to follow. When you start allowing companies to create their own version of #ad it loses the meaning not everyone will know what each company is using to indicate that it's an advert whereas with #ad three little characters everyone is on the same page.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 383 ✭✭Lindy97

No they shouldn't but the ASAI are basically useless. Their rules are so specific that they're really easy for certain bloggers to work around and manipulate so they're clearly advertising things but because it doesn't fall into the ASAI's, quite frankly ridiculous categories, then they get away with it. Most people can clearly see when something is an ad but a surprising number don't realise, and that's the people the ASAI should be working to protect.

  • Closed Accounts Posts: 1,951 ✭✭✭SB_Part2

I honestly don't see the point of the ASAI. Even if they make a 'rule' they can't enforce it or offer any sort of 'punishment'.

Lisas lust list is one that I find very questionable as she constantly promotes different boutiques and now Bellamianta tan but never ever flags as an ad. Surely she must be getting some kind of money to promote these brands and shops constantly?

Lisa was one I really liked for her style. But she's raking in the freebies lately (a trip to Maldives this yesterday ). She calls herself an "ambassador" for the likes of LODI - what does that mean? There isn't a hashtag in sight anywhere.

Have a feeling if she was to be pulled on it she'd claim bullying and girls not being nice to one another.

Her bad spelling is also beginning to grate me (it's advice not advise you're looking for) but that's besides the point! :D

Is Lisa, Just Jordan or another one?
There seems to be this notion flying about that if you say "Brand ambassador" that you don't have to # which I don't think is correct, it's what Grace got a finger wag for over that skinny tea.
If they're writing blogs, a simple spell/grammar check in Word should sort out any issues but I don't think most of them ever bother. It's annoying and lazy. Writing is part of your job but yes if you point it out, you're labelled a bully.
