It's not us deepening that divide, it is Muslims all over Europe who are doing this, either by turning a blind eye to what is going on in Muslim communities, ostracizing themselves into ghetto sh*t holes in places like Belgium and France, accepting far too readily the ideology of ISIS propaganda in Mosques being preached by batsh*t crazy Imams who seem to get away with FAR more than any Christian minister would.

the extremists may be deepening the divide, but so are the racists and extremists in our communities who are just as much to blame.
They bring the hostile reaction upon themselves because it is coming from that community and these incidents are nearly ALWAYS from people from that community throughout Europe, not just the UK.

They do not bring the hostile reaction upon themselves, that is victim blaming. it is the extremists on our side using excuses for their own agenda and blaming everyone else for it.
Stop blaming us for this, this is a problem they have, they can't seem to accept that we reject religious bollocks in most forms now, we aren't interested in Islam, we don't want it changing our laws by replacing it with barbaric form of law such as Sharia.

no lets not stop blaming the extremists within our communities who use brown skin as a reason to have a go at innocent people. muslims aren't changing our laws.
I don't give a damn what colour they are. Just stop that utter nonsense. People who want to be sympathizers can't use argument against people who call out Islamic ideology, so must use the race card which is utterly ridiculous. The vast majority of people on the island of Ireland don't want anything to do with Islam and don't believe in it's nonsense.

We bend over backwards to accommodate this downright medieval religion into our society, basically because we are now terrified of them. We've all seen what happens with Charlie Hebdo, etc, if you dare even criticise their religion. A religion that completely subjugates women and rejects homosexuality in any capacity. We call ourselves a tolerant society yet we not just allow, but we encourage this medieval religion that treats women as inferior to men, treats homosexuality as a sin that requires people who are homosexual to be executed.

I'm ashamed to be Irish and an EU citizen where this type of self destruction of society by consent is not just allowed but is encouraged.

One of the dead is a 3 year old little girl.

Another attack confirmed now by Spanish police. This is absolutely horrific.

ISIS news agency now confirming their soldiers carried out the attack.

When the IRA were bombing the UK in the 80s should these rules have been applied to the Roman Catholic Irish?

I was about to ask if some do-gooder had brought up the IRA yet and then saw your post. These threads are so predictable.

That would explain the increasing number of attacks in Europe over the past 3 years.

    Thanks for clearing everything up.
ISIS had professionally trained, organised killing squads on the streets three years ago, brainwashed dickheads with a driving licence are most definitely a regression.

Extremists of all persuasions will phase out eventually, well, if they don't they'll take the rest of us with them so we better hope they do.

If the IRA was carrying out the same attacks as these terriosts, I would support a similar ban. These attacks need to stop and we need to take action. What we are doing now is not working

Comparing apples with oranges there. The IRA did not believe in world supremacy. They did not believe that people who disagreed with them were "infidels" or "non believers", who had to be killed on the path to their supremacy. The IRA had one particular issue with the UK government and the issue behind that was the decision to partition the island, an act undertaken by the UK. Not at all comparable with a medieval and downright backward religious cult that is out to assimilate western society into Sharia Law. In the UK the folks they have let in, will openly say to your face that the imposition of Sharia is the end objective.

People like Tommy Robinson must be sick and tired of repeating the same truths over and over and people and politicians keep pandering to these scumbags jihadi pricks breeding in radicalised mosques who kill innocent adults and children at will
Europe is infested with it. Wake up

Jeremy Corbyn only just yesterday fired a member of the shadow cabinet because she spoke out about Muslim rape gangs.

It's like the left are living in the twilight zone and in complete denial. It's utterly bizarre.

I don't blame Islam or Muslims for this, its part of their religion and their culture to hate and kill non-beleivers as is written in the Koran and won't ever change. I blame the liberal leftwing cultural marxists and various leftwing political parties which are responsible for all this, Tony Blair and Angela Merkel and the Irish labour party also with their politically correct mantra. The enemy is within and the bloods of inncents are on the hands of the traitors leftwing troskyites who are determined for Europe to effectively commit racial and cultural suicide to appease their political correctness dogma.

13 confirmed dead and 50 injured.

RIP to all the victims. You certainly did not deserve to die like this.

I note that wonderfullife and murpho999 didn't thank this post. No surprise there.

this might be a little off topic, but how does a person 'become radicalized'.

It is a ridiculous phrase which has weaseled its way into mainstream media.

There was some girl from the North recently who had become involved in isis, but she had returned home and had become 'de-radicalized', according to the news.

    Whats the process, anyone?

According to Sky/Fox, the police image was wrong, the suspect had his identity documents and car stolen.

I can't stand the IRA but even I can see that. The IRA goal was a United Ireland, they came to the table and negotiated terms for peace when it wasn't coming to anything. ISIS don't seem to stand for any political thing except Islam must rule over everyone and everything and dominate the very fabric of society.

Does anyone think any of the 3 big political parties in this country can deal with this threat? Let alone the many smaller parties (mainly left)

No. FF, FG, SF, Labour, the collection of crazy lefties parties etc.. they all support open borders and bringing more people into the country who don't agree with our values or culture.

I blame us, that's it, I blame you and I and the other 6 odd million people out there in this country who get a polling card every election time, who appear to be happy to allow our society to be unquestionably replanted by a highly connected joined up worldwide religious cult organisation, that is at least one thousand years behind the current times we live in. This is the thing, anyone remember "VOTE YES FOR JOBS!", the message behind the Lisbon Treaty I and II?!? We allowed yet again in this country, all substantive reasoning to be smothered when it came to discussing our continuing integration with the EU, anyone who said or even suggested that there were valid concerns around the subject of migration into our country, were literally labelled as lunatics or people who were actually mentally disturbed. Fast forward a few years and not just Ireland but the EU is in chaos, caused by uncontrolled migration into the EU and then uncontrolled travel within the EU once you get in.

The suspect told Police he believes it was his younger brother, an 18 yo.

This is awful, I can't believe there's been another one.

It's hard to know what to do in response. There are so many muslim marches against violence, there were imams reporting the manchester guy for years because he was trying to stir up at their mosque (iirc?), and yet nothing was done. And then you hear about the ghettos in france. But if you start this "us and them" lark, it just makes things worse.

No one is born believing this crap, but the more you look at it, the more you listen to it, the more it makes sense to you, and pretty soon you're spouting this crap on the internet.

Same for the radicalisation of Islamist extremists, with more horrific results.

Note the various rants and arguments people will have made after Charlottesville about opposing fascism by all means and punching nazis and then note the total f**king radio silence from the same quarters that will follow this. Dicks will be quietly tucked in until Donnie says something stupid again

I often wonder how people manage to maintain that level of cognitive dissonance.

I wish no-one was getting killed but as we saw in the US when the far-rght struck back against them how heaviliy the media were stacked in their favour. As a moderate centrist myself there is some good things to come out of the leftwing but it has been totally hijacked by extreme beta leftwing types, mainly unemployed liberal art-degree type no hopers spreading their message of sheer hatred, meanwhile anyone who has a dissenting opinion gets shutdown and accused of racism and facisim as they try and force their disgusting marxist agenda on everyone.

However for the far right they are the best recruiter imaginable as the push previously moderate people further right and the Trumps of this world will get more and more support as the centre falls away into either hard left or far-right. The far left is the biggest threat facing Europe and the US today due to the danger they pose.
