    Also caribou in galway.

The lads who have Caribou worked in P Macs, P Macs have nothing to do with it.

Browns Barn will not be reopening - licence extinguished for transfer to Clontarf Baths

Continued gradual increase in pubs in Dublin - Legal Eagle reopening imminently (interview with the owner in the SBP). I'm presuming The Tramline on Hawkins Street is effectively what was Play just with the entrances reversed?

Looks like The Dark Horse in Blackrock will no longer be a Galway Bay pub. They put up a facebook post today to say that their lease is up and not being renewed

Eastside Tavern on Lesson st. has reopened. No food though.

O Reilly's early house on the Quays seems closed the last few weeks as well.

Legal Eagle on Chancery Place in Dublin is open again. Very food-led but still a pub and a decent selection of beers.

It's only open a year; is it struggling?

Kelly's in Inchicore definitely locked up today. Was wondering for the past week or 2, but saw the smoking area was ripped down too.

Opening 0830 for the Lions games. Don't appear to be using it otherwise

I was under the impression it was a (mostly) all or nothing thing to have the early licence; not selective use. Although Molloys on Talbot Street was closed for quite some time and still says it opens at 0700

Molloys was refurbished and re-opened a few months back. In very good shape now under new ownership.

I know its reopened - it was open when I posted that and I'd even been in for a pint.

My point was that I was under the impression that early house licences are very much use-or-lose and both Molloys - which was closed for a fair while and not open early for another while after reopening (it is open early again); and Reads/Ryans hadn't used theirs for many many years.

Its not something most pubs would be interested in doing even if the ability was still there so it may just be a case that nowhere else has ever re-started before.

Work still seems to be ongoing in the Botanic House in Phibsboro. New owner is letting the apts currently. Rumours it'll be a steak house....They'll need something different to survive there. If it just reopens as a pub it wont last. The area is simply too competitive these days.

That's good news! A decent sit-down restaurant is sorely needed in the area.
Camille is now the only show in town.
Vagya in the Sunnybank is sorely missed! Hope they find a new home soon to re-open.
The tidings are positive down at the old bank on Doyle's Corner too- looks like they're planning a really nice restaurant. Hope the diners don't mind the all emergency services whizzing about (Dee-Daw Diner?)

The Dublin Inquirer reports that Nash's on the corner of Kevin Street and Patrick Street is finally going to be reopened after a refurb. the new owner is Jonathan Foley whose family have a pharmacy on Meath Street.

It was re-licenced in the past 6 weeks or so anyway, licence had fallen off the register and its now back in the new licence number sequence.
