Jan 16. Nope they had said that it was gone to be signed off, weeks ago, and then this letter came in the door.

what was your OOM? I wish you all the best.

Thanks all yere comments are appreciated , I'm not going to let it go easily. If I get a formal review there is a chance I get to meet the assistant commissioner , which I think would be a good thing , put my argument forward. Its hard when they don't disclose the reasons, because your not sure what your arguing against. Hopefully , fingers and toes crossed. I'm not going down without a fight , its what I wanted since a child!

I'm very sorry to hear that.

I'm sure the majority of us has a black sheep in the family. I also have a troublesome cousin which I am completely estranged from.

Be open and honest and as forthcoming with information as you possibly can. Exhaust all possible avenues get as much advice as possible. You do not get to choose your relations. I really hope you will get this resolved quickly but you've come this far now don't give up the fight.

Please keep us updated and I genuinely wish you the best of luck.

Is it true that additional allowances eg night duty / Saturdays and Sundays add up roughly 25% approx ?

Old link here states 5,800€ https://www.kildarestreet.com/wrans/?id=2015-02-10a.551

If correct the starting salary would be decent

    Maybe this is off

I remember at the second stage the inspector doing the orientation said it was 25% extra, as far as i know you get your basic salary paid in one pay check and the your weekend and unsociable hours in a separate pay check. your looking at around 34000-35000 starting off and thats without overtime not bad at all.

i was told the younger ones would be sent to dublin so thats reassuring. the prices are crazy. every extra hour could help.

at the final 12 weeks you can put in a request for where you want to go your not guaranteed but it gives people a chance to request.

Lads just hoping for some help and some advice. Got my date today for the physical, 21st of august. The thing is I'll be out of the country and will only be flying back that day. Can I rearrange it?

fyi They will ask to see proof of your flights so might be worth sending it in initially to save them asking :)

Hi, I have my fitness test on the 15th of August. I'm just wondering if someone can suggest a beep test app that accurately simulates the one in the college. Also does anyone have an idea when the intake will be if you do your pct in August. I've heard there is an intake in November, would I qualify for that intake? Thanks.

Android Play Store: Beep Test official Army and Police is the correct speed and incrments.

If you do your PCT in august and your vetting is complete and if your OOM is good enough you may be called for november intake

I can't figure out if I've just lost all my work motivation or if I'm just generally lazy

Hey guys, does anyone know how many they take in at a time per intake? I rang HR and they gave me a provisional date for the start of September for PCT, hoping that will get me in in November!

All this waiting is a killer

I'm going in the direction of lost work motivation. Yes I am glad of a job in the current climate but becoming unhappy in the current role cause all I want is AGS.

We just have to wait it out unfortunately :(

We're all in the same boat. Lol. 6a.m starts for work used to be so much easier. Now it's just a pain. Going into a job everyday that you hate while patently waiting for the career you want. Hopefully all January campaign will be cleared in this and Sept crowd cleared then.

Great thanks. I was trying to do the loughborough 20m shuttle run on you tube (it's just some guy doing it up to level 11 or something) and it seemed WAY harder. Thanks you actually have lowered my blood pressure.

Are you from January 16 also? When did you complete everything? I only did my pct in July this year so I think im being hopeful for November, vetting is waiting to be signed off etc.

Ya Jan 16. Done my physical in March and sailed through it. Still have vetting outstanding.said waiting on one part. That was 2 weeks ago.
If your waiting to be signed off your in a very good position as I hope they priorities the older campaigns that are signed off. Still another 6 weeks so there is still hope.

That's unfortunate about your vetting, it can be a tedious process. I hope you get it boxed off in time for intake.
6 painful weeks and counting :)

It was short notice. Thought I'd get at least one months notice! Contacted hrm this morning and they asked to send them an email so just have to wait and see.

Also for anyone else who may have vetting questions, I'm from the sept 2016 campaign and my oom is low 400s. I asked about my vetting and it's still ongoing
