    GK:
De Gea plays every week, Fabianski is backup, just in case.

    DEF:
Cedric + any two from four(Dunk and Lowe rotate perfectly).

    MID:
Fab, Alli and Sane are mainstays, Ward-Prowse for pre-season form and early fixtures - Carroll is bench fodder.

    FOR:
Firmino, Lukaku and Aguero - Firmino can easily become Chicarito if he shows early form.

Had KDB + Jesus + Elliot, then changed to Sane + Kun + Fab.

    Thoughts?

I really like that team! I've only started my team in last couple of days and keep going with Valencia-trippier (pre injury) in defence forcing me to have a poor 3rd striker or 4th mid but your back 5 allows for a lot more flexibility.
I'm warming to firmino as 3rd striker too, as you say, he be downgraded to any of the chicarito-benteke type players. And may possibly be on pens.
All in all I think you've a well set up and good team.
Only suggestion I would make would be maybe spend less on keepers but you're obviously using De gea as route into United defence? You could save 1.5 on keepers and upgrade to Valencia who was virtually a winger for most of the game v Sampdoria.
Oh here I go again trying to work Valencia in...just leave it as it is haha

Foster is also 4.5m, would he be a better option? That said, I just have the Swans to go down this year! Although with DDG playing every week it doesn't really matter. Also, since you have Hegazi in there maybe just stick with Fabianski.

Very light in defence alright but to have the strength you have in midfield and attack it has to be a cheap defence!

I presume a load of people are throwing Fabregas in because Hazard is out which makes Fab cheap at 7m? (That may be another option for me as well! :pac:)

Reading back on the thread, Loftus Cheek seems to be a more popular choice than Carroll so maybe switch those two (both 4.5m)? That said, either of them are just going to warm your bench anyway so it doesn't really make a difference.

I was also looking at Sane myself, but I worry that there could be too much rotation at City. That's the only issue I had with him, and to a lesser extent Aguero, but they are probably cheaper than the likes of Kane, Sanchez, Salah, De Bruyne, Mane etc.

Sane would probably be the only one I't have reservations over really, but I could be completely wrong about that too! :pac:

Where's the love for Rooney at 7.5?

I think I'm going with this for 5 to 7 weeks

    Foster
    Blind / Yoshida / Dawson
    Alli / KDB / Ince / Milivojevic
    Kane / Lukaku / Rodrigues

    Bench

    Fabianski / Carroll / Mee / Trippier

    0.5 in the bank .

    Comments and suggestions please.

    Bump

Bound to change lots but heres the current draft

    Foster - Elliot
    Alonso - Danillo - Mee - Rangel - Hunemeier
    KDB - Ramsey - Carroll - Richie - RLC
    Lukaku - Kane - Jesus

Huge frontline obviously but thats where I see the scoring over Alli, Sanchez, Hazard, Coutinho etc

I like this as well. Ward- Prowse is he worth the extra 1m, he has never done anything, ever!
I would also have Jesus over Aguero, anytime both have been fit Jesus has started

I'll have another look at Forster + Valencia + Elliott. Need Utd and Sou defenders for their opening fixtures.
Don't really want one starting keeper though and if New sign Adrian as rumoured, Elliott gets dropped I'd imagine.

I did have Austin in until he was dropped from last game - want some Sou attack force due to fixtures - kind of boxed in with his price tag alright.

Big fan of Aguero(who isn't) - can transfer to Jesus if that's the case.

I usually wild card early though.

had him in my team for a food while. starting fixtures are awful though, went with gayle in the end. i'll be keeping on eye on him for sure though.

I have never seen him play or know anything about him beyond a decent record in France and preseason but I'm now thinking I'll take a punt on Mounie!
Looking at fixtures I'd be happy to play him first 5 weeks anyway
Would have no saints attacker then but I only really wanted Austin
Could also afford Bertrand then too

If you're not planning on playing the 4.5 I totally agree with the logic of playing Barry. Carroll and/or Loftus Cheek will drop like stones if they're not playing, same with Rangel. Pick the lowest ownership one and there's less chance of him dropping.

jack cork 0.4% ownership 4.5 will start every week when fit.
Wew..just needed this. I was looking for a low ownership player at 4.5 because he would be fhe last player coming lf the bench after the defenders..
However with trippier injured and pedro suspended my team will need changes,i guess batshuyai is bound to start for the first few weeks atleast, but trippier will need to be replaced.

    Latest team:

    Zaha/Pogba/Sane/Ince

Will jesus be a rotation risk?

Mcauley is back in training this week.
I wouldn't risk Hegazi, might only get one game from him

I hope not. But its an easy switch to the likes of Lazacette/Morata etc. if that happens to be the case

Crap. Thought he was out for longer. Read elsewhere that Hegazi looked pretty good to start the first few. The search for another viable 4.5 def continues

Yeah he might still be first choice given Mcauley's age, so could be worth a punt at 4.5
    I'm personally staying clear though.

Am thinking about a Zaha/Benteke double up now, at least they're nailed and have decent enough fixtures. There are no better options at their price that I can see right now. Could reassess then after GW3.

I'll have one or the other
I'm still leaning toward zaha despite no news on Austin
I'm thinking of chancing Mounie for the few weeks in place of Austin
It's very strange that he didn't get a single minute yday
    Must have a knock
Be helpful if the manager would tell us :(

Mounie is an interesting one. Seems to have become a fan favourite pretty quickly in pre-season. Could be a great shout if he hits the ground running.

    Latest draft
    De Gea
    Dann, Dawson, Yoshida
Ali, KDB, Coutinho, William, Ward Prowse
    Jesus, Lukako
    Subs Hunemier, Rangel, Quaner

    3rd proper draft.

    Foster Elliot
    Bailly Alonso Cedric Mee Long
    Alli Salah Zaha Ritchie Carroll
    Aguero Lukaku J-Rod

I'm fairly sure I'll still have 10 or 11 of these come the deadline.

Most of it locked in but Austin and tripper forced change of striker and then goalie and defence too

    Foster Elliot
    Valencia Bertrand francis mee long
    Pogba zaha fabregas kdb Carroll
    Lukaku Kane Mounie

Looks good but Fabregas worries me with Chelsea looking a bit of a mess right now. I have him in my latest draft but I'm thinking long and hard over whether to stick with him.

I'll be honest I know nothing about Mounie but he seems to have many admirers so good luck with that punt.

I'm going with my gut on fabregas
Been in there since minute one and if I have to transfer him after a few weeks I'll have had time to assess the likes of Ritchie , Walters and JWP

I'd rather Bailly over Valencia and then you could upgrade Francis to Ake. Think Valencia is overpriced tbh.

I'd select Ward-Prowse in a heartbeat if I knew he was nailed on but I don't think that's the case. He's still great value at 5.5 I reckon as he's on a lot of set pieces and able to pick out a pass.

I'm liking the look of Ritchie though, think he'll be in my GW1 team and if he doesn't work out I'll move him on for a breakout player.

Yeah Valencia and Bertrand are not certainties yet
Any changes will involve keepers those 2 and Francis
Mee will play weeks 24&6 for me though so hit mad in having a 5mk defender on the bench those weeks
