Yeah Valencia and Bertrand are not certainties yet
Any changes will involve keepers those 2 and Francis
Mee will play weeks 24&6 for me though so hit mad in having a 5mk defender on the bench those weeks

Ah ya that's fair enough. I've gone back to Foster again for that precious 0.5 :D

    Foster
    Jones Stephens Ake
    KDB Willian Zaha Pogba
    Kane Lukaku Gabby

    Myhill Mee Prodl Carroll

Will be looking for any excuse this week to ditch Gabby.

Ya noticed that, not sure why. He seems to feature in most of their fans' best XI on their forum and he won player of the season last season so I thought he was nailed on.

    Thought's

    Foster-Elliot

    Kolasinac-Mee-TAA
    Danilo
    Bailly

    Ali-Carroll
    Willian
    De Bruyne
    Zaha

    Lukaku
    Firmino
    Chicharito

    Fabianski Nordfeldt
    TAA Kompany Kolasinac Valencia Lowe
    Gro8 Mkhitaryan Erikson Tadic Carroll
    Aguero Jesus Firmino

    First draft and 0.5M over.
    Think I'm looking at a 4-3-3 with a 4.0M at the back.

    My two cents....

    Carroll (SWA) best 4.5 mid.

Swansea GKs for first 7 GWs at least. (I'm not an early WCer but sit and forget and max spend on 13 is the plan.)
There's a few other one-team 8.5M GK options if you fancy Fer or Ayew.

Berty (SOU) is not worth the .5 and choose your poison...

    Man U defender.

This new chip could give your Latin-flavoured squad a break after the internationals.

I think you need to maximize you starting 11.

He played for AFC Bournemouth last season. Don't think he's nailed on this time around though.

WAY too much on goalies and defence
You have bailly so I'd drop de Gea down to Elliot save 1.5 ml. Saints have brilliant fixtures so can play Forster every week.
Mendy is injured so get someone much cheaper on .
Cedric is not certain to start gw1 but probably will. Double up on saints defence is not what I'd do but fixtures are good so maybe ok .

Switch one of the pool mids . Coutinho will priabky be sold anyway .....don't even know who kachunga is to be honest . But I'd change both himself and obiang. Tom Carroll for your 4.5 mid

Forward. Get lukaku . I'd also try and get Kane.
Chicharito starts with 3 away games so I'd avoid him for time being

Rangel and siggy won't be playing
    Capoue ? No thanks

Lukaku will kill you if he starts well . He is ownend by half the game players and will be captained by most of them

I personally wouldn't be captaining Kane over Lukaku.

Very committed to Liverpool givin that they're away opening game I think. I'd try chance Salah or Mane and get in a City player.

    Latest musings

    Speroni Elliott
    Stephens Francis Mee Fernández Duffy
    Salah KDB MikkyRyan Zaha Carroll
    Firmino Jesus Lukaku

Cheaping out on defense for a strong front 7. MikkyRyan a punt but great opening fixtures and great preseason form is too hard to resist - I'll certainly be surprised if he doesn't outscore Pogba

It's a really strong front 7 but I'm not sure it's worth sacrificing the defence so much.
High chance Francis is on the bench GW1 and then you're left playing Duffy against City.

Will either keeper play? Redmond is 0.5K less than Zaha and would then give you a definite starter in goals.

Of course then you'd have Redmond.

Francis not starting is a myth. He played every single league game when available (72) over the last two seasons so it will be a massive surprise if he's dropped. I've sacrificed on defense alright but Stephens is good for almost every gw up to and including gw11, so then it's a case of pick two from the remaining four. Goalkeepers may be a risk going forward, but as is looks like both will start gw1, which for £8M is too good to pass up. Will address that issue if and when necessary.

This being the crux of the issue :D

    Opinions?

Taking risks with the plan of wild-carding early.

    Fabianski

    Danilo Cedric Dawson

    Salah Pogba Ali JWP

    Chicarito Jesus Lukaku

Speroni ,Fosu Mensah, Alexander Arnold, Ritchie

    Keepers
Fabianski is a good shot stopper
Speroni is a risk but could be 4.0 starter

    Defenders
Danilo should start the first few weeks
    Cedric for Southampton cover
Dawson is there and will be replaced by Jones once Fosu Mensah moves
Fosu Mensah is a beast and will hopefully play wing back
Alexader Arnold is a risk but some friends think he will start until Clyne is back

    Midfield
Salah has scored well pre season
Pogba should play more advanced and probably on frees and penalties
Ali will score lots of goals
JWP is a risk but with the fixtures and set pieces he is worth a risk for week 1
Ritchie will be on set pieces and can score a screamer

    Strikers
    Jesus for City cover
Lukaku will score lots i expect
Chicarito may be a risk as no striker does well at West Ham.

He may start but I'd wager on the side that he won't. To say it would be a massive suprise if he was dropped is certainly not true.
Smith just signed a 4 year deal and has had a great pre season.
I know Francis started yesterday but that team was a mix of first team and squad players. Unfortunately for FPL, Howe hasn't played anything that resembles a first choice 11 in any of the pre season games.

    Foster elliot

    Bailly Pva Vvd cedric duffy

    MKhitaryan erikson mané ince delph

    Firminho Lukaku Iheanacho.

No one from city though :/

Taking a risk on vvd and delph that a transfer before the window shuts will result in their value invreasing.

    Unsure on ince and iheanacho

Will be looking at swapping firminho for chicarito after gw 2 i think

    Pickford
    Bailly, Alonso, Cedric
    Pogba, Zaha, KdB, Redmond
    Jesus, Lukaku, Mounie

    Elliot, Walters, KLong, Hünemeier

    Feels a bit unbalanced.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 378 ✭✭bezuaua

    Speroni | Elliott

    Bailly | Cedric | Mee | Francis | Hunemeier

    Salah | Sane | JWP | Chadli | Carroll

    Kane | Jesus | Lukaku

    Any opinions??

2 from Spurs is a bit iffy, not a fan of Pogba.
Lacazette and Chicharito over Lukaku and Kane is a gamble imo

i've gone with a cheap backline to accommodate the 3 up front. I will play Cedric and trippier (or another 5.5m def is injured) and prob Dawson most weeks.

Happy enough with the midfield-Southampton have a good start so Redmond could do well in the first few weeks. Fabregas has been discussed on here quite a bit, I will keep am eye on him-I may make a change to Pedro later on.

Frontline of Lukaku Benteke and Kane seems strong. I'm quite tempted to switch Benteke for Defoe though.

Alot of eggs in one basket with 3 spurs 2 Soton 2 United. IMO.

Yeah I was thinking that alright-in terms of Spurs I could probably get rid of one of them
