I have a question about accessing games, but it doesn't really belong in the gamepass thread, because I'm in the states, so really just wondering if anyone else who is over here can answer my question.

I'm living pretty far from Bears country, so watching their games on regular terrestrial TV is, for the most part, not going to be an option. I definitely don't fancy getting a DirectTV subscription to get Sunday Ticket, as that would cost over a hundred dollars a month and a two year contract. Gamepass over here doesn't give you access to live games. So I'm wondering is there any other, more reasonably priced, method for getting access to games, besides dodgy streams, that are outside of the local market? Or is the whole thing deliberately set up so that this isn't possible? I don't mind going to the pub every Sunday and drinking beer and eating wings, but I dunno what herself would think of the arrangement.

DirecTV do offer an online version of Sunday ticket without a satellite and online only for $70 a month for 4 months right now but outside that living in the US is hard to find games when outside said home states of the teams. I spent 3 weeks out of NE last season and ended up VPN into my families SKy account on a UK VPN. I have a fast VPN though that I pay for well work pays for it.

Other than that such a hard thing to view non in market games. I know if you have Verizon you can get games on your cell which doesn't absorb your data. I might be moving out of the NE area next year and I dread having to look for Pats games online.

Yeah it just seems like such an unnecessarily difficult thing to do, with Americans all moving around and living all over the place I would assume there's lots of demand for access to out of market games but that market seems to be pretty much sewn up by Directv. Would have thought a set up like Gamepass would make sense for the NFL, but you have to assume they know their business. Looks like Buffalo Wild Wings will be getting more of my custom again this year so!

(now is not a good time to point out that 70 quid a month would work out a lot cheaper than all those pints and wings)

Pretty impressive catch by Pryor in training camp today.

He has completely surprised me in how he's become a legitimately good WR.

A lot of 'experts' writing off Washington's offence because they lost two 1,000 yard receivers in Jackson and Garçon but even though the deep threat won't be there with Jackson gone, I think they've still got a pretty good set of receivers with Pryor, Crowder and Doctson (although Doctson is untested). And they still have Reed* at TE too.

    * provided he can stay healthy.

you can get the Europe gamepass to work there or there are IPTV options from here too. Boards has a lot of chatter about not discussing these sort of things, so give me a PM if you want to hear more.

Dominique Easley has torn his ACL for the third time in his short career. Long road back for him.

By going on holiday to other countries? Can you send me the PM I am intrigued to know what options there are. Some airlines are slowed than others when using European holiday destinations.

I would say he is probably done at this point. Tearing your ACL 3 times is 2 times too many if the same knee.

Cian Fahey an Irish NFL Expert went on the Pardon My Take podcast recently which is the No1 sports podcast in the US and he does a good job keeping up with the banter. He starts at the 20 minute mark:

    https://www.podcastone.com/episode/Cian-Fahey-and-Super-Bowl-Champion-Malik-Jackson

Apparently hes starting his own podcast on ESPN soon.

I don't think I've heard of him before so for all I know hes a prominent member of this forum and I'm an idiot. I'm sure he's come up here before, right?

He's a regular guest during the football season on Dan LeBatard's radio show and his stock has been rising with ESPN personalities over the past year. He seems to be highly thought of at that network anyway.

I like him and he's a good follow on Twitter.

Cian is a brilliant analyst and highly respected by the americans for his knowledge. Think i remember him saying he only go into NFL about 8-10 years ago. He was on the Off the ball/ Joe.ie NFL podcast and did some work with Dan Le Batard who has his opwn ESPN show and he's getting a lot of traction in America from that.

He does a great job I have heard some of his stuff in the past. Great to see Irish guys become analysts and experts in this great game. Tough market to break into and great job by all these guys when they do.

Very interesting to learn an Irish lad is doing well analyzing football. I listen to Pardon My Take all the time and when i heard the accent I was like wtf is going on?

Is he based in the US or is he doing it all from Ireland?

To date he's been doing it from here but as his profile rises further I could see him moving to the States.

    Has his own website: http://presnapreads.com/

Mixed feelings about his content. Still good to see and Irish person succeeding in the field.

Sam Monson, a senior member of PFF is also Irish.

Sam Monson is another one who has done a great job getting into the the market with PFF. His knowledge is incredible.

Im the same with most analysts like anything they have some great articles and then they have some not so great articles. When you figure all analysts give a mixture of facts stats and opinion not hard to have some mixed feelings about some of their stuff.

Forrest Lamp has torn his ACL.

    The Chargers are cursed.

    The Chargers are cursed.

Not a great start for our draft class first round pick doubtful for the season with a herniated disk in his back and now our second round pick tears his acl, that's before we start a Preseason game, but we will fight on

How does one throw up Dez Bryant? :p

Gamepass renewed my membership the other day which I didn't expect (torn between looking into cancelling or just leaving it now...). Shamefully I might see myself staying up for the first half tonight despite preseason being meaningless crap. :o

They think it is just a sprain from a rolled ankle, nothing too serious.

    Yeah that's hopeful news

First reports were bad enough with him crying when being carted away
