Yeah fair play to Walshb, called the press conferences well in his early prediction

Mayweather is expected to go over one billion earned with this fight, so no.

thats also pre tax (PAY YOUR TAXES LOL) and deductions
    1. So would Federers earnings be that we know if. We don't get time his post tax amount.

    2. I already said Federer has surely kept more of his money, as Floyd has been stupid with his.

    3. In a few weeks will earn what is half a decades worth of money for Roger in one night. The career earnings even including endorsements really aren't even close.

    He is Swiss- tax haven.

Isn't one of the reasons Floyd is taking this circus fight is to settle his tax bill?

Normally glued to the fight build ups always looking out for different interviews and pressers..... But sick of those two cnts already... Definitely the gayest event ever.. "oooh look at my suit.... Oooh look at my diamonds.... You're a bitch nu're a bitch... Ho I'm not a ho bitch.... I've more money than you I Brought some in a bag...... Oooh you're bald...."... That covers all 4 pressers to date

Even the gays are a bit more subtle

Good point, hadn't crossed my mind. Though being a nice guy (and ftr, I'm not fond of Mayweather and like just about every breathing soul on earth, really like Federer) would not have made Floyd a Swiss citizen. He's also not fully clear...

Federer's Tax Break Not So Great.
In fact, if Federer was really interested in avoiding tax, he would probably try to leave Switzerland outright.

“Many Swiss sports stars and other stars that make a lot of money, if they are looking to save taxes, move abroad to Monaco,” said a Swiss lawyer, based in Berne, who did not wish to be named. “Federer is usually most of the time living abroad, playing abroad, and I personally as a lawyer do not understand why he does not move. I think he really intends to keep a high, popular reputation.”

Oh it can always be smaller! Redacted knows! Either way, one has class the other has a poor grip on money.

Apart from his immense boxing skill, I can't see anything else admirable or likeable about Floyd

The old saying 'you can dress them up but you can't take them anywhere' certainly applies here. Or 'some people have money and other people are rich'

Tax in Switzerland varies depending on the Kanton (county) you live.  Bern is quite a  high tax kanton in relative terms, whereas the cheapest tax kanton in Switzerland is Kanton Zug (where a huge majority of rich business people live) where you pay 4% income tax.  I would not be surprised if Federers limited company is registered in Zug

I agree that it being sanctioned is probably questionable but once it's sanctioned surely you have to give Floyd the 50-0.

Even Calzaghe didn't bother going for 49 with some ropey fighters on his record

    No way....

why? Because some piece of paper makes it "official?"

I would apply the same rule in reverse to Conor in the Octagon

And to any other circus event being billed as sport...

I personally wouldn't give Mayweather the 50-0 either for this "fight".

I said so in another post on this thread.

This isn't a boxing match, its a farce, a circus or something of the like.

I've glanced at some of the promotion of this, the carry on between Mayweather and McGregor is ludicrous, whats even more ludicrous is the people buying into it and who are willing to pay money to see it in expectation of it being a legit fight, its not.

This falls into the category of WWE territory, its entertainment, fake, with a scripted outcome, reminds me of when Homer Simpson fought Drederick Tatum in which Homer visualizes he's only way of winning and that was Tatum coming down with a heart defect moments before entering the ring! The same scenario applies to Conor.

And im not saying people shouldn't watch it, or even pay for it, people are entitled to use their money however they want, but don't try and legitimize this as a real boxing match.

If Conor was to beat him, freak punch in the 3rd that knocked him out or something would you give him 49-1?

Of course he would, he doesn't like Mayweather. Although not many do to be fair.

    Yes. 49-1...

Like I have consistently said. Mayweather cannot "win" here.

He is the one selling this crock of sh1t..

He comes back and beats a legitimate-credible boxer he is 50-0...

And it has eff all to do with liking Mayweather, as another poster mentioned..

If this was Manny/Thurman/Garcia/Spence or any established pro boxer I'd apply the same rule..

The Indo article is spot on - Mc gregor is not even the best fighter in mma and has won this fight by using his showman antics - fair play to him
