Ali was one of the most iconic people that have lived on this earth . He changed a lot for America in it's most troubled time and will be remembered a long long time after his death

    These 2 fellas are clowns

Rich clowns. The real clowns are the people who will be paying to watch it.

Can't wait till this racist pos gets knocked uncouncious in the ring. It takes some skill to make Mayweather seem classy but he's achieved that. I wouldn't expect anything less than a scrote from Dublin.

He's not a quality MMA fighter either. People are saying these are the two greats of their sports. One is.
McGregor is 21-3 in MMA which is nothing special.

The differences are you are looking back on a different era with different social norms. Ali was as outspoken in his time as these two are now and cause just as much controversy with his comments to promote a fight.

These two are not outspoken. They are spitting scripted garbage full of swearing and crassness..that is all this is..

You not being able to see the huge difference between these two and Ali is bewildering!

Why talk about something you clearly have no clue about, he's a 2 weight world champion in MMA. What would he need to achieve to become a quality mma fighter to you?

Evidence of racism please and please don't come back with the 'dancing monkeys' thing as that would be absurd given that he has referred to many different people as monkeys, including himself.

I could sense it was one of the most half-hearted attempts to race-bait I can remember. He also called the jersey shore juiceheads monkeys yesterday (they are white).

I didnt notice (I dont really follow social media), but did they try to get up in arms about floyd calling him a ******? Even if people did I think they're getting tired of their own crap, it's reaching all the time

 you got a yellow for a reason buddy, Im fine with my reading. You may need to check up on your facts before spouting nonsense also the irony in saying you dont want to drag a thread of topic after doing it multiple times :pac:

I know I did. I gave the reason the mod told me why I did in my last post. There's that reading comprehension problem again.

Once again reading comprehension fine, your reason was bull**** and just incorrect hence the card buddy. Maybe learn to construct sentences that dont try force association
For example, I heard you were connected to gangsters in Dublin, Ive nothing to back this up at all but sure Ill say it anyways for the craic :pac::pac: and hope someone believes me

Oh, he's definitely a quality MMA fighter... without a shadow of a doubt.

He has had many excellent performances in the octagon.

But at the same time, he has also had a few poor performances as well. He's still pretty much in his prime as a fighter, and he has 3 submission losses on his record already...

(that's 3 times he would have been choked unconscious in a street fight, if there was no referee to intervene)

At this point in time, you can't really compare the legacy of Mayweather and McGregor... Floyd is miles ahead in that respect.

Obviously it depends what Conor does in the rest of his career... (if he keeps fighting). If he were to beat Mayweather, and then go on to put in a few more excellent MMA performances... then you could start building a legitimate argument for GOAT status!!

But not right now.... he's not in that bracket at this point. Fame does not equal greatness!! ;)

I'd honestly doubt anyone would be willing to pay that, they'd get about 5 times the buyers if they went for 30, no wonder sky money is going downhill

That price just means less buys and more people getting together with their mates. I know why it's that price but if they had tried that with MayPac or try something similar with Canelo v GGG I'll be streaming.

That is some ridiculous leap there..

    It's one win really..

Over a retired 40 year old..

Conor is an absolute baby competing in a baby sport in comparison to the depth and longevity and significance of the sport of boxing..

He can only win via KO/DQ or injury to Floyd..

    He cannot outbox Floyd..

    So, let's test you claim..

Wins via injury to Floyd, whatever that may be?

    Greatest combat athlete in history?

    I tell you what..I'm a reasonable bloke..

If he beats Floyd and then goes on to take out GGG and or Canelo I'll sit down and start talking..

And I'll completely forget his 3 UFC losses via tap out.

Never said I won't watch it. I won't go to 70 euro to pay to watch it..

You may not believe this, but I do have friends who I can work on to stump up the fee!

If McGregor wins it puts him right up there in terms of achievements. He won't win, but if. Wins in three different UFC weight classes, champion at two different weight classes (knocking out both champions who between them had been knocked just once in over 60 fights) and then going to a whole different sport and beating one of the greatest of all time at that wouldn't make it much of a discussion - it would be like Rory McIlroy beating Rodger Federer at tennis.

    It's not happening, though.

I know I have made comparisons before..

Barring a KO/DQ or injury win Conor outpointing Floyd would be similar to Rory beating Roger at tennis..one in a billion..

Anyway, if he gets the win via KO then it's a KO. One moment in time. One punch, one connection and over. That to greatest combat athlete ever is ridiculous. And not at all comparable to say Rory beating Roger at tennis. Tennis has no KO blow. You have to win it and win it and win it. Reach an end line.

Beats Floyd rd after rd to earn a points win? Definitely comparable to Rory beating Roger.

I never knew KOs were basically lucky wins (especially against someone 49 pro boxers and some greats have failed to do so to), someone needs to let Mike Tyson know.
