I've been looking hard to see can I spot it on mine, but luckilly I haven't. Had I, I'd be looking to return it. It's strange that the extent of the issue seems to vary so much from phone to phone, as it appears that the screen inversion is common to all of them.

Hmmm, I'm seeing it today alright. It's not too bad, a sort of bounce like effect on some websites, but it's there.

I think our eyes will just adjust. I only notice it if I really look for it so I'm going to keep the phone.

I doesn't look like OnePlus would be accepting returns for this issue anyway. It's not something that I notice in normal usage tbh although it is there if I do things a certain way and look really hard for it. Wasn't mentioned in ANY review that I read so people who look at these phones everyday for a living didn't notice it in normal usage. It's a nit-pick in my book but maybe it's worse in some phones than others

Yeah, I'll be keeping it. It's good to have an excuse in the back pocket for when the mouth starts to water for a Pixel 2/OnePlus 5T/whatever-new-shiny-gadget comes along, though. "Honestly, love, I think it's causing my eyesight to deteriorate, shure you hardly want me to go blind..."

I have played with the phone and tried to recreate the Jelly effect shown on the video but I really can't see it!

I'm very happy with the phone so far!

That jelly scrolling effect would absolutely do my head in, they've also got a cheek to come out and say its normal and not a defect.

Honestly, I spent a full day trying to spot it before I caught it. Maybe it's worse on certain apps or websites. I thought twitter would really show it up, but not so as to interfere with my use of it. The one website I've noticed it on is phonearena.

Just ordered this one - https://www.casefanatic.com/oneplus/case-oneplus-5-electroplated-transparent-clear-silicone-tpu-cover/

Works out cheaper with postage and was recommended on one of the YouTube reviews.

Thinking about getting that one myself, can you let me your thoughts on it when you get it?

Phonearena reporting that OnePlus will work on "jelly" issue although questions remain as to whether they can actually do anything. If upside-down mounting of panel is to blame, it would be interesting to hear the reason why the decision was taken to do it that way. I'll be hanging onto phone in any case

Strange that not everyone can see it

On my phone at least, you have to scroll slowly enough, up and down, without taking your finger off the screen and look quite closely. As a previous poster mentioned, it is a bit easier to replicate on the phonearena.com website. There could be some web-view rendering stuff on some sites/apps combining with some inherent properties of the screen but I'm entering the realms of speculation on that. Certainly wouldn't casually notice it in normal usage on my phone. Others may differ

First full charge, exactly 24 hours ago, now at 3% with 6h9min SOT. Huge improvement on my HTC10.

Very similar to mine. I took mine off charge yesterday at 11.30 at 92%.

I'm currently at 6% after being on my phone a lot yesterday. Loads of Chrome, about an hour of YouTube, half hour of streaming Spotify over Bluetooth in my car, a few phone calls, lots of WhatsApp, and lots of browsing Imgur.

I had WiFi, 4G and Bluetooth turned on all day along with adaptive brightness.

Total screen on time was 7hours 10minutes.

Looks like jelly issue may be caused by upsidedown screen https://www.engadget.com/2017/06/30/oneplus-5s-jelly-scrolling-upside-down-screen/

For me the effect is so discrete that it's a non issue. I can see how some people mightn't like it though.

Battery life is the best I've had on any phone. Getting somewhere between 7-9 hours screen on time.

No issues here, find the screen and sharpness to be fantastic.

If anyone is buying one, here's a link to get €20 off accessories. I used it and got 20 euro off the carbon fibre style case.

Go to Settings > Advanced > OTG Storage and turn it on. That should work.

Drivers, you need to load the right ones.

I had a problem with some music after copying it over and the phone wouldn't see it. Think I cleared the data for the Gallery app and maybe a few other media-related apps and rebooted the phone. That forced them to do a full, clean scan for media files when next used and it found the new files then. As for USB, make sure cable is fully inserted (this caught me out on first attempt), use drop down menu in notification area to select transfer media mode, if that's not present then issue probably on PC side. Install new drivers as other poster suggested.
