Lucky to avoid red again there.

Waterford losing the heads altogether. Definitely a few soft frees gone against them but they've got away with 1 if not 2 red cards.

Definite penalty not called. Waterford going to really lose the rag now.

What a stupid challenge when you're on a yellow, could cost them the match.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,387 ✭✭✭✭DDC1990

    Stupid second yellow to get.

Actually looking at the penalty again, Shanahan grabbed the hurley and dived.

    Good call.

Mad that cork have first red.

What was Lehane thinking? Shoulder to back of lad in air when on a yellow already. Braindead

He's allowed them play with 15 men still!

Ya true but the constant decisions going against them pushed them over the edge.

Kelly looks quite unfit out there. Has a lot of running to do to get rid of the belly.:D

Seamus Harnedy has had a fine game, my motm.

Waterford must think its aussie rules. The amount of wides shocking.

Munster final should be wide open Clare shouldn't fear this cork side. Waterford just so wasteful.

Very disappointing from Waterford. 1.14 in 70 odd minutes is extremely poor. Qualifiers will be interesting.

Could say that but they should be embarrassed if it affects them that much.

    Cork deserved winners.

On top all over the field.

Pity that Frank couldn't get the Stade de Frank built in time for a Munster Final in both codes eh :P

Three out of the four teams from last years AI semi-finals are in the Round 1 qualifiers... I don't think anyone saw that coming

Yep mine too. Got on a serious amount of ball and created lots of chances for his teammates

    True!

But when Waterford analyse it, they can't look at the ref as a cause.

Oh ya I agree they have the players but just seem clueless and keep making the wrong decisions.

Has the makings for a great game. Both teams have some weaknesses but there is serious firepower on both sides. Will probably be a very high scoring game. From a Clare point of view, goals will be our key as Cork maybe don't score many otherwise.

Don't know if I'd agree that Waterford have the players.

They're far weaker than they were 10 years ago.

Looking at what happened to Kilkenny since Sept its probably a reflection of where they're at that they couldn't beat them then.

Exactly. I agree Kelly was poor, but it wasn't against one team.

Much deserved victory. Good to see cork and wexford back. Good championship all round

Derek McGrath is on the hottest seat in hurling after that. Their systematic style of hurling today led to a clueless, poor decision making performance from Waterford. They seemed to have regressed despite being a young side.

That's a good Cork team. Lovely hurlers and they play a lovely style of hurling the way they spread it around with their stick passing. Defence were strong too, didn't give up easy scores or frees and forced Waterford into taking on a lot of difficult chances (though some of the Waterford players don't need to be asked twice to take on a stupid shot).

Harnedy was just great for Cork today and Horgan looks a new man this year after not being a little off the boil for a couple of seasons. Ellis centre back is excellent too, really solid. Lehane scored some beauties but had a quieter second half.

Still a couple of doubts there with Cork though, a little bit goal shy and not physically the biggest team in the world. Should be a good Leinster final.
