Do you live in Cork by any chance?

What does this have to do with a pink line on my phone?

I would imagine the poster was going to suggest a place that would fix it for you if you're in Cork!

My mistake, didn't see that. I'm in Dublin. I might call into the Samsung Store in Dundrum and see what they say.

2 year warranty. The pink line is a known issue and should get fixed under warranty if you're within the 2 years, which you must be. It takes 3-5 days.

What are the chances of getting a battery replaced during the warranty period? Over the last year I've noticed that I'm ending up with less and less battery at the end of the day.

    Battery replacement won't fix anything.

    Software issue.

I can see from online that pink line on right hand side of the phone is a common issue but I also have a small crack on this side, I'm guessing this will give them ground to not fix it.

Ah. Yep, that could alright. Could cost you 230 of your finest silver!

You can get the plug plus USB cable for a tenner.

Anyone still waiting on their charger to arrive?

I ordered 2 when I saw that link a fortnight ago. They arrived around the middle of last week.

They took about 2 weeks to arrive I think.

My original fast charger (a year old) stopped fast charging recently so I ordered another one last Thursday from Pigsback. I'll let you know when it arrives.

Yeah, still waiting here. Ordered on the 14th of May.

Was planning on sending an email later actually.

Plus another item I bought at the same time as an impulse buy after seeing it on the pigsback site. Coming from a different company, but also not arrived yet.

Think I'll contact them so, ordered on the 11th.

Hey what is snapchat and the front facing camera like on the Galaxy S7? Thanks!

    How do you know?

    Because I know everything.

Seriously though, battery doesn't degrade that quickly. It's also well known that early nougat builds have poor battery.

very bad, if you want a phone for snapchat you should go for pixel or else iphones

the developers of snapchat have openly said they give no effort to developing for android, & google gave them a lot of pressure to make a proper app for the pixel

Snapchat makes no money. Why would they want to invest money in supporting multiple devices?

Then again, I don't even understand why people use Snapchat. I'm sure my kids will explain one day.

The snapchat app for Android is the one app, no separate app for the pixel, total nonsense talk, snapchat has improved drastically the last while.

App may have improved but it's still a bloddy useless concept. 😀
I really can't understand the draw it has and as another poster said, they make no money but instead are shipping money hand over fist every year.
No doubt it will last but it's a load of nonsense if you ask me.

Back on topic.... I find front facing camera is great.

Another cracked screen protector a week after getting a new one. And I've only ever cracked 1 screen total in the 15+ years of owning phones. Mental!!

Of coarse snapchat makes money, every popular app does. I just think it's a fun way of communicating with friends. Looks like it's not the best on any android phone not just the S7. Thanks!

they use the camera api on the pixel rather than how it just screenshots the camera liveview on other android devices that aren't supported for this feature

    look it up

It's not real money. They lost $200m in the first 3 months of this year. How much do you pay them?

The main complaint with snapchat is that the quality of pics and videos on iPhone is better, despite Android generally having the best cameras now.

So Sky Sports, The Daily Mail, Buzzfeed etc are not paying them real money to place their articles?

Snapchat made a $2.2bn loss in the first quarter of this year. $2bn of which were one time bonus payments, but $200mn is operating losses.

I think in the US they have managed to monetise customers to the tune of about $3 per person, outside the US it is still $1 per person. I read somewhere that something like 40% of UK bandwidth usage is now Snapchat. I imagine the numbers are similar in the US, and if so Snapchat could get absolutely screwed by Net Neutrality.
