I made mine back in 2000 and I don't remember speeding any of it. The mother brought me to the bank to open my bank account with it and to save money.

To be fair she thought me how to save and think of a rainy day and put 50% of my monthly wages aside just in case.

I can't remember what I did with my communion money, but I do remember buying a SNES with Fifa with the money I got for my confirmation :D

Was brought to town to buy 'presents' for everyone in the family - which included a patio table and chairs and boring clothes for myself. Got to buy myself a wendy house though too so didn't mind in the slightest, think I made ?70 back in 1991.

What to do with your communion moo-la.
This 10-year-old boy decided to buy a cow with his communion money.

I remember in 1986, I lodge a total of 108 pounds in the tab. I spent 2 quid on an a4 copy pad, and a pack of colouring pencils.

Probably withdrew it in 93/94 and smoked the rest of it.

    Good times.

What to do with your communion moo-la.

I mentioned earlier that my Father 're-purposed' my communion funds for cigarettes.

But I did also, thanks my complaining upon discovering the above, obtain a calf. Who went on to have many of her own calves and so on so forth. Ultimately I won.

    1996, got £110 and a Sony Walkman.

Don't remember what I squandered it on.

A bike, the Euro 2004 playstation game and football, and enough football stickers to complete the album without having to attend the swap shop in the RDS.

Made my communion in 1994 (I think) and I can't remember what I made. It was put into my post office savings account and never seen again, pretty much like almost all money I received as a child.

Same here. Made my communion in 1984, I think I got €85 in total. Post office account opened. Nothing withdrawn until I was in college 11 years later, with the exception of my mother withdrawing €30 to compensate my uncle for a calf that had died and she was convinced that I had something to do with it. (My brother and I had been feeding the calf and petting its nose through the fence, nothing more, my uncle returned the money saying the calf was sick anyway.)

Still have the old brown PO book somewhere.

I got £16 back in 1980, I had my cousins dress, (it was gorgeous and did another 4 girl cousins) I bought a watch with a black leather strap and I remember my mam filled my bag with rhododendren petals. I felt so special.
I lost the watch when I was about 13 and I still feel sad about it. :(

1979. ?27 pounds and a trip to the zoo. Thought I was the bee's knees. Some of it went into the Post Office. I think I bought a radio with it - one speaker and a tape-deck yoke I had for years. My daughter made multiples of that two years ago, and funnily enough she bought a radio as well (well, a remote speaker) and banked the rest of it...

I bought my mum a beautiful blood red rose bush with some of my confirmation money for Mother's Day, it bloomed every year and many slips taken from it bloomed gloriously too
