I need to stay away from that retro games forever facebook group. 50hz apologists and people that play games in 16:9 annoy me too much.

You're better off, the best one I heard over there was black borders don't bother me because I play on a 55 inch TV.

Some people don't have access to original hardware or a cry so that is forgivable. But 4:3 is a button on your remote control.

as much as I don't care what people play it on as long as they play it, I have to say I don't get this either, it does look all weird and ugly on a non 4:3 display.

OH MY GOD Retr0 .... I just agreed with you on sth :D:D

Playing Geometry Wars 2 there, still plays great, Retr0s records still baiting me onwards....
I had it for a while on the cab, running on the PC I had there, mother of glob did that game look stunning on that Trisync.
I'd love if there was a way to play it on the Pi3...
    Must look into it.

I've a record on it? I remember being totally outclassed in those games by another boards user and gave up after not even coming close.

I think Johnny ultimate has me well and truly beat at that game as well.

    I watched this movie recently.

It was awful... but even seemed to have some sort of deal with Namco going.

Kim Justice is writing for retronauts now. I hope that means they get her on the show and they finally do a proper one on the home micros.

Her videos on the 8 bit micros are brilliant so I'd love to read anything she wrote on the subject, a very talented person. As well as her excellent gaming videos I watched some of the earlier vids where she used to play bass, fantastic.

Still have the US Gold video in my watch list, I'm sure it was Dino recommended it, just not gotten around to it yet but looking forward to it. Are the bass videos worth watching too?

Well I was impressed, but not being musical myself, a monkey strumming a guitar (rather than what they normally strum) would impress me.

I misread this and thought you were talking about a guitar playing monkey :(

Interesting idea, they'd want to be opening & checking any expensive carts though before taking them back ;) It wouldn't appeal to me personally, as you're generally paying a premium price in RAGE anyway...so to return the game & get 75% off another premium price is better for them than it is the customer - though it's still decent of them to take anything back at all.

They're not too bad lately on common stuff. However there's rarely anything good in there. I feel it just gets snapped up now.

I'm looking to pick up a "Nintendo GameCube GC RGB SCART (PAL) wired for composite sync CSYNC" from RetroGamingCables but they seem to be out of stock. Does anyone know any other online stores that offer a good alternative?

    Thanks in advance!
