I just got my shipping confirmation but there doesn't seem to be any tracking number in the email or when I check my orders on the Oneplus website, does it become available later?

Yes, DHL will send you a text/email.

What's so great about the Midnight Black limited edition? I am intending on getting the 3T so not sure if I should just bite the bullet and get it now before this one sells out.

Anyone reccomend the best protective case and other accessories? The Essentials Bundle seems a bit steep. €29 for the case and a screen protector. A tenner for a screen protector?

Can anyone recommend a top quality screen protector please?

Most tempered screen protectors are awful for the Oneplus 3/3t, yet to find a decent one. If I had to choose one it would be the official curved one but it cuts off a few mm on the screen and is quite expensive.

Has anyone tried the tempered glass ones here? http://www.gearbest.com/oneplus-3t-tempered-glass-_gear/

Why do you need a screen protector for the device?

    You don't.

People use tempered screen protectors to give them extra protection from falls or whatever.

I've an orzly one sitting in the drawer since i bought phone , still have factory screen protector on it.

I understand that but I was wondering is the One Plus screen particularly susceptible or something, I've never used a screen protector on any smartphone before and have never had even the slightest of a scratch.

No it's grand, I've used mine without a screen protector since September and haven't a scratch on it.

No, it's just I'm horribly bad at minding phones. Haven't a scratch on the phone yet and given the phone has gorilla glass it's unlikely to be scratched broken, but personally I just like to have a screen protector on it to reduce the risk. A lot cheaper to buy a screen protector than pay for replacement screen, even if the risk of breakage is low

I use one for peace of mind as I can be a bit clumsy! I have an orzly screen protector with a spigen neo hybrid. Some people have posted problems online with it popping off or letting dust under the edges. I think I have posted this before but it is easy to solve.

Put the case on first (I always used to do screen protector then case with my other phones to line it up) and then line up the protector and press down the adhesive borders, it lines up with no problems with the case on. After that, use something, I used a knitting needle, to run under the lip of the case the whole way round to lift it up. This ensures that the edge of the case doesn't catch the protector and push it off as it now sits under it. Give the adhesive another press down and sorted. I put on my first protector the old way and had it pop off and chip. I then did this with the second one I got, it hasn't budged since and no dust under the screen.

ETA: I have taken the case off several times since applying to swap Sims out and no issues, I just make sure to repeat the process of lifting as soon as I can to be sure.

Sorry but what is the Nova launcher people are referriing to and what does it do...?

Also can somebody recommend a (preferably) free VPN I can use on the phone...?

One of the WiFi networks I use regularly seems to ban loads of websites, I can access them on my iPad using HMA (Hide My Ass) which I use for accessing Skygo when I'm away on business but I'd like to be able to access these sites on my phone.

OperaVPN is good I find. Also useful to get updates for the OnePlus early using Canadian/German VPNs

Someone above asked for a car holder recommendation.

I got one similar to this, I paid €15 for it in the Laptop shop in Stephen's Green but I subsequently saw it for around €8 in Tesco (same make).

I can't remember the make but it looks almost exactly like the one in that link.

They're brilliant, makes it very handy to take on/off, you literally just press it lightly against the pad and it's stuck tight. After a few months it'll lose its stickiness but a quick wipe with a wet cloth or baby wipe and it's like new. To take it off you just angle it and it comes off very easily, with no residue or anything - it works perfectly with the smooth back of the 3T.

I'd recommend keeping an eye out in Tesco for anyone interested.

Anyone else finding battery life has gone terrible since the last two updates? I'm almost back to iPhone territory now, charging every day or at best a day and a half. Selecting battery in settings doesn't show anything.

Yep just since the last update which I updated to on Sunday. It's weird cos there's no real battery hog app appearing in the stats

I charged mine last night so it was 100% this morning, I hardly used it all day as I got a rush of blood to the head and washed and put a coat of polish on the car, had to put it on the charger earlier as it was down to 12%:mad: maybe it's an app that needs to be updated.

I haven't updated in about 5 months (don't ask why, keep putting it off) and I've also noticed serious disimprovement in battery in the last few days.
