two problems with that, there was no neo-nazi event, and why a reference that explicitly deals with killing and mutilating said ''nazis''

Well even if it wasn't a neo nazi event there were neo nazi groups there, and two, it's a reference, distasteful but I don't think she literally planned to go scalping anyone

then why the ussr imagery? and an anrchist isnt any better.

stalin wasnt a communist? are you joking?

Look up the definition of communism and note it doesn't apply to the ussr or Stalin. Didn't see any hammer and sickles at the trouble in Berkeley either.

then why did the antifa protesters break the cordon the police had put up and start pepper spraying and attacking everyone? when the protest organizers had already denounced these groups? did everyone there deserve to be attacked because a few white nationalists also showed up? I agree dont think she intended on scalping anyone but it still shows violent intent.

thats the best thing i've read all day :D:D:D

stalin and the ussr weren't even communists? I've heard it all

Maybe in the english speaking coutries, but according to an article posted earlier the German members are quite different, something like 35% did not have the required qualification to even go to university, one in two came from poor immigrant districts.. hardly middle class uni types

Maybe, nothing is black and white. I suspect though they are still purely about the In Group.

They are all a bit Football Hooligan, lifestyle and a bit of a rumble, change nothing though.

I think Antifa 40 years ago was a different beast

When the revolution is continuously usurped by those who are not communists but who rise to the top, then the system has a fatal flaw.

From Stalin to Lenin to Mao, it has always been "well, but".

The left needs to look at itself, its attitudes, its people, if it is ever going to have electoral success.

It is disturbing how far the left today are from their base and how they view their base.

I'm a Left wing voter, SF.

Loved the Spence getting punched video and all the remixes.
You're seriously celebrating law abiding people being assaulted?
The rise of the far right in the US and Europe is worrying.
Debate with these guys isn't really an option.
WTAF you think violence is a acceptable against groups that you don't like.
Oh wait a sec isn't that what the Nazis did.
Ideas should never be challenged with violence, they should be robustly debated no matter how abhorrent you feel they are.
Modern soceity is moving away from violence and moving further towards debate and agreement.
You're going in the wrong direction.

There are probably as many on the left as the right who despise the ANTIFA kids.

Atracking indiscriminately and peaceful protesters is wrong, no doubts there. When violent groups want to fight each other I usually say let them at it, once it's relatively fair and not serious. And for me that guy running in and sneak attacking a woman is just wrong, that he's an Identarian scumbag makes it even worse.

If you've never seen a hammer and sickle with antifa you might need to go see them in real life sometimes (don't worry, they are as scary as fairies).

Yours, you are deep in a filter-bubble, like the other side. From the outside you are both extremists nobody wants to deal with.

agree with this to an extent but it really seems more like one group defending themselves from another group who tried to use violence to shut them up. youre right though that guy doing that was a bit sickening.

I'd be on the not a nazi side.
Nazis and communists, same horrific ideologies who deserve to get the crap beaten out of them.

its this hypocracy thats my main problem with antifa...in what messed up viewpoint does fascism/nazi = bad but communism/ussr = good.

surely any rational mind would see them as one and the same, evil, murderous totalitarian regimes fueled by flawed ideologies?

Their not communists they're anarchists mostly. Stalins regime wasn't communist either.
lol what history books you read? You missed his collectivization programme I presume.

stalinism is merely enforced communism, which is the only way it can work on a large scale. To act like theyre completely different things is wholly dishonest.

Also its relevent because antifa are a self identified anarcho-communist group who regularly display the symbols of and glorify the ussr

Their anarcho communists now. They are anti fascist. Within that you have a mixture of different ideologies one of which may be communism but its not a guiding principle. Just making excuses trying to label it communist or Stalinist to justify the violence against them.

the violence against them is a response to violence perpetrated by them, their own violence justifies it. The only reason I'm pointing out ideologies behind the organization is because they are factual and people deserve to know the facts. If someone wants to have communist ideals whatever they're a loony in my opinion but I'm not the thought police, however, when someone who holds these views wants to use violence and intimidation to silence opposing political views thus furthering their own (how terrorism works). they can get fcuked.
    terrorism
    noun
the unlawful use of violence and intimidation, especially against civilians, in the pursuit of political aims.
