I hear a rumour after this Rory is thinking of taking a job at Royal County Down as assistant pro.

From tour to topping up fridge with coke and Golf Bars.

no Fore - but time to hit tee with wild swing and 4 year old kid - cool that way

Can see a play off if leishman doesn't make par on 17

If Rory is to be involved he'll need to hole that putt on 18 though.

    some season ahead.

Day - Johnson - Mcilroy -speith.

Then a couple of unknown factors like

    Thomas - Matsuyama - etc.

That was an absolutely awful 3 putt. Wasn't even near with the birdie and par putt.

Was a shocker of a last hole - 3 bad shots in a row.

2 for a pro is bad.

Good run by Rory but a couple of bad holes didn't help

No hope of a win now. Downer for JP.

If 10 under makes the playoff Rory should be thrown to the crocs

  • Registered Users Posts: 1,303 ✭✭✭max life

Not a bad finishing position considering how he started the tournament...especially for someone who has no future in the game!!!

  • Registered Users Posts: 3,472 ✭✭✭stockdam

    Such an anticlimax.

I enjoyed it........3 putts on the last was very poor. Two putts may have got him into a playoff

In fairness, was delighted watching him this evening - but that last hole genuinely was Journeyman - he had a bogey with a short iron in his hands.

    :confused::(:(:(

disgraceful 3 putt on the last by Rory. JP has to go now.

  • Registered Users Posts: 20,814 ✭✭✭✭FixdePitchmark

in fairness - Rory was right he needed 11.

Rory had to go for it, given the circumstances it wasn't too surprising that it went well beyond. He doesn't 3 putt that if he didn't absolutely have to make it.

On another note, Hatton and Fleetwood are in great form at the moment, they could do some damage at the Masters.
