I might have to then. If it works on our Switches. Bringing it over to a friends on Friday would be a good laugh.

    1. Germany is in the EU

    2. Switch is region free.

While you're at it get a grey grey or neon joycon set and they'll email you a tenner off snipperclips on march third

Yeah I get that, but will we have to set up a German EShop account to get it?

Theres something I'm sure no one can answer yet, does region free stretch as far as DLC and or membership codes etc?

Wii U was not region free was it?

Given shipping costs and time, you're better off just giving GameStop €100 for the bundle on the 10th. I've given up trying to get it cheaper than that. :(

The benefit of it is that you can get snipperclips sooner than the 10th, joycons will probably arrive at that time anyway.

Nope. eShop on 3ds and wiiu work fine with UK German and French eshop game codes. The cash codes are another kettle of fish. You can't add pounds to a euro account.

It's a digital game so they email the code.

Amazon UK would be cheaper if they accepted Irish or parcel motel addresses. I even tried a relative's address in England and Amazon refused to ship it there which was quite odd.

Switch wants to be your friend. It begs to be lifted, the little divots at the connection between body and JoyCons tempting you to caress them and - sometimes, sometimes not - click in the little buttons and lift. It’s happy to clack back in the dock while you veg out for a few hours in the front of the telly, and always delighted to come back out to play. It feels like the beginning of something beautiful. Videogames are one of the biggest joys of my life, so it’s an amazing feeling to find a console that seems equally excited about playing them.

Think was Greg Miller posted a picture of someone using tabletop mode on a plane and said this is all journalists going to gdc. It's even taken the place of his beloved Vita. :)

True... It's also worth noting it's slightly quicker (2-3 days instead of 5-7) and cheaper (by a whopping 21c) to go through Parcel Motel. Yeah, think I'll go for this actually. You've sold me on it. :)

Haven't been charged yet for my Switch pre order with GameStop. I was charged for my seperate order with all the accessories on Saturday.

    Getting pretty worried.

    When did you pre order?

Instantly after the presentation. So the 13th of January.

If you ordered for store pick up, you'll have paid a fiver deposit and then you'll just have to pay off the rest when you pick it up.

Don't be. With almost everything I've ever pre-ordered with them, I've been charged the day of dispatch, and had my item around 12pm the day before release. Happened with each of my last pre-orders: PSVR, Fallout Pip-boy and Xbox One S.

Can't remember if they charge on order, or on dispatch... If it's dispatch, I'd expect it tomorrow or Thursday.

hello@gamestop.ie is their email. I've had great help with them in the past when returning something.

The fact that I've always gotten pre orders a day early on GameStop.ie was the sole reason I went with them.
I'm just overly anxious at the moment because I need the switch asap.

RE: Payment for pre-orders from Gamestop.

    From their website.
    PAYMENT QUERIES
In what ways can I pay for my order?

Currently we accept MasterCard, VISA card, Laser and PayPal payments for products purchased online. GameStop Gift Cards are also accepted.

When is payment taken for pre orders?

We take payment for any Laser pre orders when the order is placed.

Important: Please note that for pre-orders purchased via MasterCard, VISA or PayPal we now take payment 5 days before the expected shipping date so please ensure you have funds available in advance of the release of the game.

When you place your pre-order an authorisation is taken which can hold funds for up to seven working days. Funds will then be released and taken closer to the shipping date.
Please note, pre-paid credit cards will capture payment at time of ordering.

Pure guess but I'd say they're expecting delivery tomorrow and as such haven't begun to process orders yet.

I saw that alright. I just find it odd that they've already charged my for my other order with 1-2-Switch, the pro controller, charging grip and accessories kit. Both should have gone through by now surely.

Similar-ish situation but The Game Collection charged me for Zelda a week ago. Only got charged for the pro controller yesterday so like I say, it's probably a staggered stock delivery and haven't been able to process orders for delivery/collections just yet.

Wouldn't worry too much about it.

So here's the Argos stock and prices. The Switch itself is above RRP but they have a special offer with memory cards. Couldn't see exactly what the offer was but you'd hope its buy a console, get a card with it, at that price.
