Well I was able to preorder one with Zelda in Smyths for launch day this afternoon so I'm happy.

One of us, one of us, one of us...

I'd never even noticed before that Snipperclips had 4-player modes mentioned in its description on the Nintendo site. Happy to see that it actually has a reason for being bundled with extra Joy-Cons, looking forward to it even more now! Should pass the party time until MK8D.

Idly wondering, is anyone buying it without Zelda?

I'm patiently waiting for Mario. In the meantime I'll be eShoping.

You mock now, but 2 extra joycons and JD2017 is a lot cheaper than bringing my babysitter on holiday. Plus there's the meta-game of 'finish the wine before the battery runs out'

Is Mrs Banjo aware of your plans to go on holiday with the babysitter?

Was in my local Smyths asking about picking up without preordering. He said they had about 30 preorders already and they would be getting extra.

I'm leaving the country on holidays so I won't be getting the Switch until two weeks after release (depending on stock). That day will be henceforth be known as Women's Little Switchmas.

    Don't worry
According to some Nintendo will have imploded and will be making games for the Nokia 3310 at that stage

So are the joy con issues that they're desyncing or disconnecting?

It's not desyncing apparently because the light on the joy-cons stay on at all times. It seems like a wireless strength problem of some sort.

The left joy con issue doesn't sound like something that can be fixed with a software update tbh. I'm a little concerned as I'm holding off buying the pro controller so will be using the bundled in joy con grip.
The Zelda previews seem overwhelmingly positive which is nice hopefully they will improve the docked performance down the line tho.

Lads, seriously, I'm going on holidays at the end of March.

I never go on hols without my 3DS & PSP, but this is different. I can't wait to bring a full scale new Zelda with me.

I never leave the house without my 3ds in my pocket. But this yoke is huge... And I will miss StreetPass :'( But on holiday its not just Zelda, you have a captive audience for 4p bomberman or Fast Rmx...

Nokia 3310s are coming back BTW, wouldn't surprise me if Ninty license out Game n Watch...

Well apparently the joycon syncing issue is just a Bluetooth foible, not much you can do about it without increasing the signal strength which might be possible with firmware. Bluetooth and water don't mix so when you have a bodypart blocking the signal this can happen. Apparently happens with the One controller as well.

Distance plays a factor. Covering it with your hand/putting it behind your back is fine if you are standing/sitting next to the console. It becomes an issue when you are several feet from it.

Tomorrow Corporation’s games not guaranteed for Switch launch next week

Tomorrow Corporation previously announced three eShop releases for Switch launch. World of Goo, Little Inferno, and Human Resource Machine were all previously on track for March 3. However, there could be a bump in the road.

True to his lighthearted nature, Tomorrow Corporation’s Kyle Gabler told Polygon the following when asked if the company is still on board for Swich’s launch:

“We hope we can make it! We’re still just 3 people, trying to launch 3 games on March 3rd — and it’s going to be close. For reference, the Zelda team has approximately 2.9 billion people and a really fast horse, but we’re close behind. Save some champagne for us, Nintendo, we’re going to be bloody and tired and maybe not all 3 of us will make it alive, but we’re going to get there, and the games will be stunning!”

For Nintendo’s part, they’re only saying the following:

“In addition to Fast RMX, Shovel Knight: Specter of Torment and Shovel Knight: Treasure Trove, day-one digital titles on the eShop will include The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, 1-2-Switch, Super Bomberman R and Just Dance 2017.”

By the way, those hoping that previous purchases of Tomorrow Corporation’s games from older Nintendo systems can’t be transferred in any way. “We cannot comment on the content of each game, but we have nothing to announce regarding past purchases carrying over,” Nintendo said.

If they're really only 3 people, why not work on one or maybe even two games for launch and then follow it up shortly after with the third?

Even if it's more than 3 people.

It just reads like a light-hearted message from the developers.
They'll have the games available but are pointing out that they're bringing three games to launch with three people behind them and Nintendo are bringing BotW with a massive team to realise the Switch release.

Now that Fast RMX and Snipperclips are confirmed for launch, I'm adding them to my day one pickups! So for me, that the grey Switch, Pro controller, Zelda, Fast RMX and Snipperclips.

Please no one tell me the full price, I don't want to know. I've paid off the switch, Pro controller and Zelda already so it doesn't feel too bad, and the other two games are only €40 for both.

The source of the interview is more interesting.
When asked if existing Wii and Wii U purchases of Tomorrow Corporation’s games would find their way to customers’ accounts or if those games would need to be repurchased, Gabler said, “Carrying over existing purchases to the Switch sounds like a nice player-friendly idea. Has Nintendo said that this is possible?”

No ... no it has not. When asked, Nintendo said, “We cannot comment on the content of each game, but we have nothing to announce regarding past purchases carrying over.”

Has nobody an opinion on that? I for one will not be paying for these again. The Switch I thought was supposed to end this BS practise. It's certainly possible, easy in fact but the will isn't there from Nintendo.

I can say, and have said, that the new Nintendo account system of tying purchases to it and not the system should mean not paying on the double for games, but they don't have to.
Not every game available on PS3/PS4 is "owned" on one when you have the other, they are flagged on those items to cross platform purchases.
But, maybe we'll see something like with Minecraft on the XboxOne, where ownership of the 360 edition gave you a healthy discount.
That we have seen already on the WiiU where you got a discount on specific games, such as Majora's Mask, when you already had the Wii version.

I think it would make the system very attractive, particularly for 3DS owners, to allow them to "import" available games to the Switch, and not have to buy them all over again, but they've done that before too, going from the DSi to the 3DS.
