Rumour has it that FIFA for Switch might be based on the PS3 and 360 versions and not the PS4 and Xbox One versions. Or it could be its own version.

Is that such a big deal? It's not like anything but the graphics change, and we know Switch will be running lower settings than XONE or PS4

Or are the PS3/360 versions feature cut?

Got that delivery boost from Amazon myself there, nice little bonus.

Took the decision to cancel my Breath of the Wild - Special Edition order with them though. At £89.99 it was just too expensive for what they were offering, that sword statue and CD isn't worth the extra £41 over the standard edition.

It's a big shame we're not getting the same collector's edition as they are in the US - the Zelda carry case was the one thing I really would want.

they dont have some of the features alright litterally copy past update squads, so like better ball control and such is left out. they did say it would be a custom version so it could be built based on the early ps4/xb1 versions which was the previous engine but pushed to its limits

was chatting to the boss of one in cork, he said the stores all want to do them and the ones in standalone buildings have been given initial go ahead but any inside in shopping centers will really have to convince HQ cause they will have to pay the shopping center to open, pay the staff extra for working at that time and also pay for security to keep people within the location of gamestop and not wandering around the center

i have a game and a charging grip on way from them. have never preordered from amazon, so i have it going to parcel motel too. do ye know like if its common they are delivered to parcel motel say the friday launch morning? just wondering how likely i will have it to pick up the saturday morning. usually once something is at the depot its there to pick up within 24 hours even on saturdays.

Nintendo hardware launches are.... significant.

I mean, without them it would be a cyclical release of incrementally improved FIFA/GTA/CoD delivery boxes every few years.
At least with them, those devices still get released but they don't represent the sum total of what video gaming should or could be.

Ya I was 7.01am day preorders went live too. But Amazon dont ship to Ireland for Nintendo Seller stuff so had to parcel motel.

I made mistake of standard delivery too, id got and paid next day if I hadnt rushed it through. Surely it be Saturday not Friday if going via Parcel Motel in Belfast and then onto ROI?

I cant wait, the midnight launch makes it even more of an event. Soon switchmas will be upon us when Iwata was born and came down from japan to free us from sin and grant us switches.

Totally significant. Always interesting. Not always perfect. But always trying something else. Love Nintendo for that.

I would love to get my switch on day one but i cant justify paying 400 quid with a game in store compare to the 300 i am paying with a game from amazon. I have to wait maybe 5 more days to get it but its a 100 euro less so means more games

Have only been to two midnight releases in my life. Call of duty Black ops and gears of war 3. There fun and all but when your old (25) have work at 9 in the morning there really is no point in going to them as i wont be playing the games or the console anyway as i have to go stirght to bed to sleep after ha.

Where can you get it for €300 with a game from amazon? I had a look on amazon.co.uk and the console with BOTW is about €390?

As far as I remember it was with a staff discount.

There was a glitch with Amazon.de pricing at one point that also dropped the price down a bit.
