    Oh Gronk don't ever change:

    http://dailysnark.com/cronks-hs-basketball-coach-said-intentionally-missed-free-throw-keep-score-69/
Numerous stories about Rob Gronkwoski have surfaced over the years depicting the man who we think of today as Gronk, but none may be better than this.

Chuck Swierski, the Patriots tight end’s high school basketball coach sat down with Mark Dondero of WPRI.com for an interview about Gronk’s time at Williamsville North High School and told this gem of a story –

“So we’re playing a home game and we have 68 points – now it’s not a blowout, but it’s not a particularly close game either. So he (Gronkowski) gets fouled and goes to the free throw line. He hits the first one to get us to 69 and the place goes nuts because he’s playing into it. On his next free throw, he purposely chucks the ball off the backboard and misses so the score would stay at 69 and then runs back on defense pointing at the scoreboard.”

    Check out his hobbies

Carson palmer has apparently taken his kids out of the school they are in and put his house up for sale and has already moved out of state.

Did someone report this yesterday on another thread or maybe i saw it on Twitter. Strange decision as Palmer is a serviceable QB and there's no supposed outstanding player in this QB Class who the Cardinals should be going after. Unless there's a deal with Tony Romo in place or a Tyrod Taylor type..

I believe whats being reported is that it is Palmer looking at retiring rather than the team moving in another direction

If he's retiring they'll still need a QB and there's not many options available to them

This, along with the possibility that rothlisberger might also retire, is fantastic news for Kirk cousins, also the patriots and the Bengals will be able to drive up the price on their back up qbs. And whatever people's opinion on the guys in the draft, high picks will also now become immensely tradable. Those are two teams that would regard themselves as close to competing for a super bowl (notwithstanding the cardinals were poor this year) so I can see either one paying big to fill the gap. Romo need not worry about finding a starting job next year that's for sure. Will make the next couple of months very interesting I think!

Woohoo Cowboys might climb in the draft and address some area's of concern.

On another thread someone has said Browns are considering Jimmy G. Jesus above if they get the #1 pick overall for him we may all give up.

Id say the Pats will get a 1st round pick for Jimmy G. Put it up in FA thread a beat writer from Cleveland reckons the Browns will be that team. Going to be easy to get teams to bite on backup QBs the more teams that need a starter.

The Browns needs to avoid QB this draft almost completely (unless a gem falls to them round 4 or later), I'm no big fan of RGIII but they got some decent play from him and Kessler looked like a potential franchise QB with very little around him despite the lack of arm strength... and they've more needs than maybe any team I've ever seen.

The browns have two firsts this year, normally I'd assume they're only willing to part with the lower pick, but this is Cleveland so nothing would surprise me.

Cleveland also hold the 12th pick - more likely I'd imagine

Definitely agree but the fans are impatient for a franchise qb so I can see them continuing to swing for the fences on that. Given next year is quite a good qb class, and they desperately need to build the team in every aspect, they should hold off, but I bet they won't. As TO said, someone will pay a high price for garopolo, and what team is more likely than any to do that? They should stick with who they have of course.

We might all be wrong though, browns fans seem from what I can see to trust the management they have. Whether they can take the patience that requires when you have as bad a roster as they do I don't know (same question for the other teams in the top three in the draft)

If the Browns are going to give the Pats their first round they should trade down out of 12 and get extra picks from the team moving into 12 and then give the Pats that low 20;s pick they just grabbed. At least get extra picks for your troubles. But this is the Browns we are talking about.

That very thought came into my head, no way 12 but if you were talking somewhere in the mid 20's after adding a 2nd & 3rd then I'd probably have that conversation.

They could swap 12 for 31 or 32 and add in a 4th round pick or something similar. Still over paying for a guy with a handful of games though.

if the Pats get #12 who are they going for. Are they're hoping that Watson is there or trade out if not. I don't think Garrapolo is worthy of a one.

They'll probably look to trade down I imagine. I wouldn't see them selecting a QB anyway.

They will take the best player that suits our needs or trade down. Really all you can say about the Patriots drafting when it comes to Bill Belichick :pac: they definitely wont take a QB in the first round.

The commissioner is talking now in Houston in his state of the league address.

Three questions about the pats and he's standing by the evidence of deflate gate and that the league was proven right in the courts.

He's getting pissed by the Boston media not letting go of it 😂

The guy is clearly a fook wit:
“I was in Boston two seasons ago for two consecutive playoff games, the same way I was in Atlanta this year. So that happens. From our standpoint, this is just about making sure we take care of this and are doing it the right way and uphold the integrity of our teams and the rules for all 32 teams.”

Added Goodell: “If I am invited back to Foxboro I will come.”

Contradiction much? So you just decided to do two games in Atlanta. Ok fair enough. Oh but wait you weren't invited and that is why you didn't attend? You are the commissioner you dumb fook its up to you where you go for games in your league you absolute bellend. Don't try make out the Pats didn't invite you.

Nobody likes Goodell but I'm not sure what you're getting at here, he was at two consecutive Pats playoffs games two years back as he said - and he said “If I am invited back to Foxboro I will come" as opposed to “If I had been invited back to Foxboro I would have gone".

Is Roger Goodell attending a Patriots game really that important? Just seems like a massive 'who gives a f***' story to me.

    Really?
Added Goodell: “If I am invited back to Foxboro I will come.”

This quote is the contradiction. He made a good point about being at two Pats playoff games a couple of seasons ago which is fair enough. If that is how he likes to do it then that answers why he didn't go the the AFC Championship game.

So why then throw out that last comment making out he wasn't invited? Such nonsense from him. He doesn't need to be invited and he already decided to go to the Two NFC games.

He is making an excuse where an excuse doesn't need to be made. Make your point and move on you are the commissioner after all.

Maybe to you it is a who gives a fook story but not to others. Too each their own and all of that. But hey I am sorry I wont discuss it here in future to save those who don't give a fook having to read it. My apologies good sir. Also let me know what other non stories you don't want to discuss and I will avoid them also for you.

Take a deep breath and count to 10.

It's an odd one to go off on. Like I said, I know nobody like Goodell. I don't like Goodell either. I get Pats fans hate Goodell. But this just seems like a desperate reach to find a reason to be offended. But maybe you can explain to me what is so awful about him going to two Falcons games and saying if the Pats invite him back to a game in future, he will go there? Maybe he got invited to both games, or even all four the week before, and decided to go to the NFC matches featuring two favourites, of which the home team have not been to the playoffs much (in their stadiums' final year) compared to the Patriots? Maybe it was not wanting to be the villain - either for his own sake, or for taking attention away from the game (e.g. the product he is largely responsible for the 'selling' of). Who knows?

But ultimately, to rephrase 'who cares' so as not to upset your sensibilities - why does it matter to you?

Missed this post because for some reason you quoted me again a few mins later?

To me, that comment doesn't sound like he is saying he wasn't invited. It sounds like him saying if he is invited again, he will go. This season the Falcons' run may have taken a higher priority, with a high profile opponent in the divisional round (no offense to the Texans, but...), and the conference game being the last in the Georgia Dome with the two hottest players in the league in what was likely to be the most marketable game of the night. I'm not sure what his decision making process for attending playoff games is, but I'm sure finances play at least a noticeable factor.

Aaahh, nevermind. Went on NFL.com and now I see what probably did it! Had missed itsssoeasy's post above...

    http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap3000000781765/article/roger-goodell-nfl-is-moving-on-from-deflategate
"I would tell you that it's not awkward at all for me," Goodell said. "We have a job to do. We do our job. As I said there was a violation. We applied a process, a discipline and we came to a conclusion that was supported by the facts and by the courts. So, from our standpoint, we understand what fans, who are loyal and passionate for a team, object and don't like the outcome. I totally understand that. That's not an issue for me. I was in Boston two seasons ago for two consecutive playoff games, the same way I was in Atlanta this year. That happens. From our standpoint, this is just about us taking care of business and do it the way that is right to uphold the integrity of our teams and our rules for all 32 teams."
