Well technically the regulations say its only if theyre paid cash that they have to declare #ad? This is what bloggers say anyway. Doesnt apply to goods/services and therein lies the issue if you ask me.

Just jordan has a little haul that she was sent from garnier with no #ad either.....i mean, can they not show a product until they review it or else say i was sent this to review...that way we can make up our own minds whether we want to watch spons content or not....i really like her but lately she has been snapping stuff whether for baby or herself..and not making clear if it was sent or she purchased....

Did she say she was getting a cut of the sales? It's entirely possible to be given a discount code for your followers without being given a cut.

I thought she did but of course I could be completely wrong!!

She did say she would get a very small percentage for everything ordered using her code. It should have been #ad imo.

Rosanna has a full post on her website of her Lidl haul, right at the very end she has this post was sponsored by Lidl Ireland. Surely then her SC earlier should have had a # on it...??

Yep..i think grace is going to try and do damage control and pull in as many favours as she can over the next few days....

Absolutely damage control I think she's bad for business though too much drama surrounding her.

I thought once a blogger has been paid by a brand even if they are an ambassador that they still needed to have #ad

Not according to the make up fairy you don't.

Me too, if he's been invited and getting a comped meal then it needs to be said. I'd love a tour of the place and all the info he was given he is clearly there to promote the place

So they give random people tours I don't think so..

I've noticed that a lot with her lately a lot of promoting and no #ad. I think she flies under the radar a bit.

Yeah I asked him and he ignored it, had no bods responding to me asking was it an ad though so maybe he's just eating.
It's clearly a promotion but it's the grey area... and it's stuff like this that makes me unfollow

Wow, she blocked you for asking?! That's just crazy. I unfollowed her a while ago. I don't find her blogger/influencer material tbh. She seems to live in a bubble and not in the real world at all.

She's always doing this it seems, I said the same thing last week when she getting exercise equipment in Lidl.

She has #sp on her instagram post too... I've asked her on her post should she not have # on her SC earlier but still waiting a response.

I think this is what really annoys everyone, not transparent at all.

Just had jk come back to me... the tour is available for everyone and the dude explaining about the meat! Perfect for the fella for date night I'll be the best gf around!!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,368 ✭✭✭allym

They do show you the cuts of meat alright to help you choose.

As someone who doesn't eat red meat it was not the best experience for me but the boyfriend loved it :pac:

Just Jordan also has a comp for a hotel stay on her FB. It's #ad. She stayed there the night before and showed it all of but never mentioned anything about a colab with hotel, an ad or the competition! I'd love to know isnall the stuff she gets in penneys bought herself or do they give her vouchers!! She does sell stuff out for then.. same with other bloggers that get hauls from there!

Yeah I copped the hotel thing. She showed it off way to much not to be paid for it I, and then the competition just proved it. She is pretty bad at declaring stuff in my opinion. And the constant affiliate links with her as well. "Go to my website and click the post......" - we all know its either river island or missguided at this stage like.

I think alot of the bloggers get paid by pennys in the form of vouchers. When they had the liffey vally opening they got like 200/250 euro vouchers to spend. Presume the bloggers who did the exercise press event with them got paid as most of them did #ad. They might have gotten a voucher in return as well though. Tara Makeup always shows off the whole pennys store each time shes in one. She does the same with Arnotts and I know she did have a #ad up with them before Christmas.

The garnier products are a press drop, they are freebies, but influencers most likely aren't being paid so no need to #ad. Catrice and Urban Decay have also had press drops in the last week.
A lot of influencers get press gift cards from stores, so it's possible that Penneys do them.

First world problems i know, but im so annoyed over getting blocked.I sent a snap asking if the products should be hashtagged, and got a reply asking why did i contact her and why was i questioning her? and that she was always transparent with her followers..Now i have sent her a few snaps in the past either laughing at something she said or asking where she bought something and she always got back to me and was very polite......guess i just asked the wrong question today..

Yep about a year ago! I actually posted it here at the time on another blogger thread. I posted my question and her message back to me. Very rude!

To try and bring the general topic back to bloggers mentioning/promoting products, this article is both interesting and hilarious. So Irish :P Read it all, the funny stuff is at the end. Kinda says out loud what we are all thinking. Just stumbled across it on facebook.
