Apologies for asking such a patronising question,( but people's definition of backed up can be where they physically connect their phone to a pc and transfer files.), you did go to a pc and open photos.google.com, sheets.google.com and docs.google.com - maybe something backed up in the background.

Alternatively, using a OTG cable, you could connect a USB-powered mouse to turn on backup, assuming you have some visibility on the cracked screen.

Unfortunately not! :( If only it were that easy! My own fault, I knew I needed to back it all up, just didn't make the time. Won't be making that mistake again!!

Visibility now completely gone on the screen.. It was slowly ebbing away yesterday.

I-Electron have given me a quote of €219 to repair it, including collection. Does anyone know if they're reputable?

Before and after updating to 4.0 my phone is randomly disconnecting from the wifi. It reconnects seconds later. Seems to be a known issue.

Had my 3T turn itself off randomly twice last week when I wasn't using it. Rumbled on the desk and had turned itself off. Doesn't seem to have happened since updating too.

I have the same issue, but on 4.0.1 as well. It could be my router as well though. My last phone also seemed to sporadically lose internet connection even right next to the router.

Well, i just shipped them a damaged Nintendo 3DS XL during the week. They seem very professional to be fair.

I've update to 4.0.1 yesterday and it's still doing it. I'm dropping out on other routers too. Happens when connecting to both 2.4GHz router (mine) and dual band 2.4/5 GHz routers and I'm connecting to the 5GHz antenna. The only thing I haven't done is a factory reset.

After every major OS update it is recommended to do a factory reset.

Problem there is that it has been doing it out of the box. Might get around to doing it atsome time but the One Plus forums has got plenty of people in there that have factory reset and not resolved it.

3T reduced on Gearbest at the moment. Not a huge reduction but down to €407.54.

    They say it's a 49% discount

They're hilarious with that. USB cable down from 3569.00 to 1.29! Giving them away! It's every ****ing item.

Just beware you'll have to flash the stock rom and wipe it because it'll probably be riddled with adware.

Just be aware they will be shipping from China. If it gets stuck in customs, it will end up costing more.

When ye get a whatsapp and dont open it, does the whatsapp icon have a number in a red circle to show theres still unread messages in whatsapp?

When I get a whatsapp, it only shows on the notification bar, but the whatsapp app icon stays normal

No, that's never been available on the stock Android launcher. You can get that behaviour by using Nova Launcher combined with Tesla Unread

Boardsie Enhancement Suite - a browser extension to make using Boards on desktop a better experience (includes full-width display, keyboard shortcuts, dark mode, and more). Now available through your browser's extension store.

Any more info on the battery drainage issue? I haven't uninstalled Facebook/Messenger but they haven't been using a lot of battery either (2% or so). It does still feel like the battery isn't lasting as long as it should though.

Got my Oneplus 3T last week, very happy with the phone so far and thanks to those who answered my questions back in the tread. Anyway, here's another one, what's the view on taking off the plastic screen cover? I've the Orzly tempered glass cover but it seems to get mixed reviews and maybe best to leave pre installed cover on? I'm using a Spigen Rugged Armour cover but they should fit together.

Facebbok acknowledged it was a server side issue.

Pre-installed is just a plain plastic. It will offer some resistance for scratches, nothing else. I have left it as it is till it comes off my itself. I may think to put something after that or leave it as it is.

My Orzly had to be removed for my Spigen cover because the spigen lifted the orzly at the corners. So removed it and got another screen cover that was more suitable size. Spigen comes up over the edges of screen so mine lifted.

I thought my battery wasn't doing very well some time between deleting FB and yesterday. I charged to 100% yesterday and decided to see what I'll get. 7 hours of screen on time before sticking it back on a charger somewhere between 15 and 20%. So my problems were entirely in my head because that's good going.

I have the spigen rugged armour with the orzly protector. The first one I put on lifted at the edged and popped off when I dropped the phone as I had put the screen protector on first and then the case. This time I left my spigen case on and then put the orzly on, lining it up with the inside edges of the case. Plenty of pressing on the glued areas and just running my nail under the edges of the case and I have had no problems with it lifting since. Worth a go putting the screen protector on second if anyone is having problems.

I took mine off to fit a tempered screen and I instantly regretted it. The factory fit was perfect, I fecked up my attempt despite taking extra care. I replaced it twice more before I got it to a stage wher I can live with and even at hat it's not perfect as there are two tiny little air bubbles under it. I also did the same for another OP phone in the house and that took me two attempts, plus I did one for my brother but managed somehow to get that in one attempt.
My advice, leave well enough alone unless it starts to deteriorate or you're at high risk of damaging the screen and need a tempered glass protector.

I was at Funderland and noticed what I thought was a scratch on my screen. I agonised over it for a couple of days before peeling the plastic factory protector off and lo and behold, it was just the plastic protector that was damaged. So, it was doing its job well but it's not now and I've nothing but the Otterbox on it. Feel confident enough though because I had no screen damage on my last 2 phones with the same setup.

So yeah, I'd say leave the factory stuff on. Screen does look a bit better with it off, though.
