You should be able to fully uninstall if using an OP3/3T.

On 4.0.1 since yesterday and battery definitely drained quicker today, and i also have that google music problem. I cant fast forward a song any way or it will revert back to start of song.

On top of the google play music bug, I'm now not getting any led notifications since updating to 4.0.1, led was working fine before I updated to Nougat.

Restart it...... yeah, great ****ing solution, like everyone that is having this issue hasn't done this within the first 20 seconds

Only an uninstall of FB and FB messenger has worked for me.

I think I'm gonna leave FB uninstalled forever now. Deleted Swipe and went to Metal which has FB, Messenger and Twitter contained in it and doesn't want pernission access for basically everything.

I'm pretty sure my battery life is better than even before yesterday's drain issue. Quite happy the drain thing happened yesterday now because it prompted me to change the FB app but while I was there i decided to check out other apps for Reddit. Using Boost now and it's much better.

Ah didn't check that, thanks! Have Metal and Boost (Reddit) set to Amoled black now. Might even see some battery improvement again.

Well lads, I was just wondering how good is the signal on the OP3/3T? I'm looking between either this or a HTC 10 at the minute. I use my phone (HTC M8 currently, on Three network) often as a hotspot when I'm back at the home place, going as far as using it for the Xbox and Netflix and it works grand. I read somewhere else that people have had issues with the signal so it's a bit of a sticking point for me. What's the 3G reception like? Any noticeable differences between the One Plus and your previous phone?

    Thanks.

No issues with mine, I am on Meteor i also get 4G+ (thats better than LTE) but they seem to be only testing 4G+ on meteor in some locations. I have mainly LTE everywhere else. 3G ? :)

The phone has to be specific you your network so look up the bands that your network has. Thats the key.

Im not sure where signal issues are with this device as i know no one with signal issues, quite the opposite in fact.

My house is on the wrong side of a hill and my S5 couldn't get signal downstairs, the 3T can.

Is that metal app safe? I don't know much about it like what's the story in logging via it is there any chance they'd get your login details

It's a web wrapper app, so it's like a skin for the web version of facebook.

So tonight my OP3 slipped out of its case & landed face down on the tiled floor  The screen is now cracked with a purple splodge & some illuminous green lines.. Can't do anything, including backing it up.. Need to get it replaced as soon as possible without losing any data as we're getting married in a few months & pretty much the whole wedding is on it! (stoopid, I know!) :o

Anyone here know where I could get it done? Have been googling repair shops, but no idea if they're any good & the prices that I've seen so far are crazy! €180-200!!

    Thanks folks

You should able to plug the phone via usb-c cable into a pc and connect it. Whats the wedding data on, Word, google sheets or docs etc? You also should be able to remote to it installing airdriod via the Play Store in Chrome and access it that way.

I've seen a lot of botched screen replacements from local repair places so unless one really comes recommended I'd go direct to OP personally.

    What do you mean?

    What do you mean?

    yeah what does that mean.

do you not have gmail? google drive photo back up
    Instagram (online)
    google Keep for notes.

Im not sure what the phone could have on it that isnt cloud based and accesible via browser on your laptop.

When I plug it in, I need to touch the screen to get the other options, which I can't do. The phone only charges when I connect it.

Texts, photos, screenshots, lots of things all wedding related. Can only access on my phone. I know I should have had it all backed up, but I didn't. As I said, stupid of me.. :( I've learnt my lesson!

Can you not access this if you connect it to a PC?

When I connect it to my laptop, it only charges. It comes up on the phone "touch for more options" & I can't actually do anything on it as the touchscreen isn't working.

Ok maybe connecting a usb mouse or keyboard would work? you'd need an usb OTG cable.

Apologies for asking such a patronising question,( but people's definition of backed up can be where they physically connect their phone to a pc and transfer files.), you did go to a pc and open photos.google.com, sheets.google.com and docs.google.com - maybe something backed up in the background.

Alternatively, using a OTG cable, you could connect a USB-powered mouse to turn on backup, assuming you have some visibility on the cracked screen.

Before and after updating to 4.0 my phone is randomly disconnecting from the wifi. It reconnects seconds later. Seems to be a known issue.

Had my 3T turn itself off randomly twice last week when I wasn't using it. Rumbled on the desk and had turned itself off. Doesn't seem to have happened since updating too.
