    http://m.gsmarena.com/psa_dont_install_oxygen_os_3_5_5-news-22347.php

Just saw this on my Google now. Something to be mindful of.

Edit: sorry I've just seen that the link doesn't clearly show what the article is saying. It's warning against updating the OPO2 due to some serious bugs.

The updates always have a few bugs. To sort them out you usually have to restart and clear cache on the phone.

The post is referring to users in India
The problem is almost entirely reported by owners on the Jio or Airtel networks in India

I applied the update yesterday and haven't seen any issues so far, and I'm using two SIMs

For those who updated and want the battery % to show in the top right, instead of just the bar or circle

    - Pull down the notification bar
    - Hold down on the settings cog until it spins
    - Release & something should pop up saying something like "You have enabled System UI Tuner etc."
    - Go to settings>System UI Tuner & Tap the button to enable
    - Go to settings>battery & click on the battery icon and voila!

I still haven't received the oxygen os 3.5.5 update yet for my Oneplus 2? I have checked numerous times through settings > system updates.

What VPN do you use? I tried the US and Canada with TouchVPN and it didn't find an update but I think it's a crap/fake VPN app.

Pure VPN. Have it from the Netflix Region switching days.

I got it with Yoga VPN. Cheers! I'll try that Pure one the next time I need one.

I didn't actually download the update. Phone has been a bit laggy the last few weeks so I'm going to do a factory reset and install after that.

I'm getting a load of resets now every day so I'm bordering on doing a factory reset but it just seems an awful lot of bother. I used to be great for putting on custom roms and that but I've become so lazy since I got this phone.

I've never gotten my head around those so I leave them stock.

TBF I was doing them on old huawei type phones and an S3mini so never with a phone I'd have been too bothered about wrecking. I had one of them running the Firefox mobile OS once for a day or two just to try it out.

update jsut appeared for me, wasn't bothered enough to mess around with VPN's, figured it would show up eventually, and just did

Showing up for me now too. But my phone is rooted so I'll have to install it manually at some stage.

Not much messing around to be done.......download VPN app, pick a country, check for update, download update, pause update, disconnect from VPN, resume download.....voila!

I just updated to 3.5.6 and I can't mute my phone now. The volume won't turn down all the way which is a bit odd. Is this happening for anyone else?

Edi: I just figured out I have to have the slider on the left of the phone up to the top now for silent with vibrate, and when the slider is to the bottom, where it normally was, the phone will always ring with volume now. A bit of a terrible feature to introduce, but at least I found how to get around it anyhow.

If you pull the volume slider to the very left as far as it will go then hit the little bell where it says ring the volume slider goes all the way to the left.

Edit: yeah that still didn't silence it. You need to use the physical toggle switch.

Just about to say it doesn't when I saw your edit. Bit of a pain.

There might be some way to get around it in the setting.

Push the 'do not disturb' button all the way up (and enable vibration)

It seems the do not disturb button now only has 1 'do not disturb' setting. By pushing it all the way up, you enter vibration mode. ( i think )
