How can they remote flash if I haven't even got a data connection??:confused:

With your device plugged into you computer. Obviously you need the computer to have a broadband connection.

Trouble is you need to turn on allow oem unlock in developer settings before the fastboot part.

Sorry I just seen you've already figured that

Have a read of this maybe:

Where's the best price for one of these at the moment? My OH is looking for a new phone for christmas and this seems like a good option.

    Thanks.

Anyone know when the OnePlus 2 or OnePlus X will be back in stock on the website?

I doubt it. THe OP3 will be taken off soon as well as it is being replaced by the OP3T (I think it is T anyhow) which has better processor and battery life.

I can understand the 3 going but why get rid of the 2 and the X as cheaper and smaller alternatives? My girlfriend is looking for one and a 5.5 inch screen is too big so she's very interested in the X. She contacted them and they said they'll be back in stock by end of November. Still kind of idiotic that in this day and age, they can't keep enough stock. Especially in the lead up to Christmas.

    Hi,
The home key on my oneplus 2 has stopped working for about 3 weeks now. I have factory reset the phone and still not working. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix? Do I need to contact oneplus about returning the phone? Any answers would be much appreciated as it is a real annoyance.

Did it get wet or damp recently? Chances are the button needs to be replaced and this can only be done by One+. I know a few people who have the same complaint after using it running and having it in a pocket. They have either returned or put up with it.

Thanks Statto for your reply. No didn't get wet, the phone started going crazy one evening and kept flickering and kinda controlling itself. Ever since then the home key stopped working. Actually I turned it off and took the sim card out over night and it worked fine when i turned it on for an hour or so and then just went again. What are oneplus like to deal with? My brother bought the phone so do I need him to contact them?

One+ are good to deal with. You could try a local repair shop but they usually dont have the parts on stock. You could also buy the part and fit yourself if youre that way inclined. I think you can log a repair yourself. I haven't done it myself yet thank god (touch wood)

Once again thanks for the quick reply. I will give fixing it myself ago. I took apart my galaxy s before and was surprised with how easy it was to fix and change parts, like a mechano set really. Anyway cheers for the advice

Has anyone had an issue with the phone charging? Whenever I plug in the USB-C charger I have to plug out/in a few times before it recognises it. If I pick up the phone when charging it disconnects also.

It's either the charger or the phone itself. Can't figure out which! Anyone experienced similar?

I had a problem where the connector was falling out all the time, not sure if this is what you mean.
It was due to compacted lint in the phone. I was going crazy trying to figure it out and then found a thread on reddit about it. I ended up cleaning it out with a sharp piece of plastic (broke up a disposable plastic spoon) as was only thing I had available that I didn't think would damage the phone.
Unbelievable how much fluff came out and I was delighted about how solidly the charger connects again now.

Started getting random reboots probably about 5 or 6 times a day over the last few days. Really don't want to have to do a factory reset.

I'll wait for the four. Don't think I'd change from OP any time soon.

I think I will wait for the OnePlus 4 also. But saying that I was very happy with the One and in the end changed to the Two very late in it's life cycle. I'd say I had the phone three months and the 3 was released.

Really? Not followed nougat. What's in there that would change how you use the phone on a daily basis like android pay would?

How will the OP4 be different in terms of supporting android pay?

Tbh not much. I'm just a bit jealous that the 3 and 3t got it and us losers stuck on the 2 have not.

I didn't even realise the OP3 got it too. For some reason I had it in my head that it was a custom ROM issue... Oh well ...carry on!

My plan is to get the four as soon as released. The stats look really good.

There was a big update (1.2GB) released today, there was a fair few functions(App lock, battery saving mode, gaming mode, a few others and the usual Android security patch, General bug fixes) added to the phone.

You can get it if you use Opera VPN connected to the US, and then check for an update.

I highly doubt there will be a four.

in China, where oneplus comes from, 4 is considered back luck. apartments don't have a 4th floor etc

I'd say the next phone we see will be a oneplus 5.

I read that (think I commented on it here recently) but I don't actually believe it will happen.

Just saw this on my Google now. Something to be mindful of.

Edit: sorry I've just seen that the link doesn't clearly show what the article is saying. It's warning against updating the OPO2 due to some serious bugs.
