All of them? Including the 4000 people that work at HMNB Clyde?

    Clearly not

Your Trident jobs figure is a figure of the imagination as well

Pro-EU Sinn Fein ‘like pigs of Animal Farm’ says ex-provo

The Green Book (the contents of which are available online at the University of Ulster’s Conflict Archive on the Internet website) detailed the demands and pressures which would be placed on people who volunteered for the IRA, and set out the rationale for its violent campaign.

It condemned “economic imperialism” such as the export of raw farming products and “fish [being] caught by foreign trawlers”. It also condemned the Republic of Ireland for having “abandoned all attempts to secure an independent economy,” and having “brought in foreign multi-national companies”. “‘Africanisation’ is the word for this process elsewhere,” it stated. “Control of our affairs in all of Ireland lies more than ever since 1921 outside the hands of the Irish people. “The logical outcome of all this was the full immersion in the EEC in the 1970s. “The republican movement opposed this north and south in 1972 and 1975 and continues to do so.” The EEC – set up in 1958 – essentially morphed into the EU after the Maastricht Treaty of 1993.

    LOUD NOISES
Prof Henry Patterson [University of Ulster]: “Sinn Fein’s position on the EU has changed in line with the republican movement’s strategic and political transformations from the late 1980s. “The position outlined in the Green Book – a broad rejection of it as a capitalist power bloc – was changed to one of ‘critical engagement’.” He said this was “partly strategic – they saw the EU as a broader framework for bringing about Irish unity”.

Not really. I remember them having a bit on Newsnight about it before the 2014 Scottish Indy ref. Old news.

At this stage the Brexiteers are getting nauseous of going back down their own cul-de-sac arguments that they'll be glad of any distraction.

This is going to be an absolutely ripping couple of months of ahead.

This was the same in the run up to the Scottish Referendum if the vote was Yes

The UK's ambassador to the EU, Ivor Rogers has quit before Brexit negotiations. Some sources are reporting a row was involved. Rogers was noted for being quite pessimistic about Britain's post Brexit oppertunities. Reverse this madness.

He quit. He wasn't sacked. This makes negotiations a lot harder.

Another traitor then. Time to listen to the British people who voted in a majority to leave.

He's listening but he says Britain will be a lot poorer.

Good for him, George Osborne said an emergency budget would in play the moment the vote was over and if leave won. It didn't happen. Brexit IS going to happen, time Theresa May put the peddle down to the mettle now. Actually, scrap the negotiations and just get out ASAP.

ALP no one said it's not happening. They're just saying it's going to be bad for the UK. Saying that it will be bad isn't going against the will of the people.

They said that before the vote and the people still voted to leave. Why whine about it now? What do they want to happen? Just ignore the majority of the people and forget about it? Lets not instigate a civil war.

you're separating Trident Jobs, with HMNB Clyde jobs (a common theme for SNP supporters). If Trident moves, the whole base will move with it.

    A bit late for that.

Brexit hasn't happened yet though. People like Ivor are whining about it because it's him that has to deal with it.

I think you'll find that ambassadors are not elected.

He's quitting a job that has changed dramatically, and not in a way he feels he can support - what's "traitorous" about that?

you mean in a minority. it was a majority of minority that voted to leave. this chap is not a traitor.

the referendum was advisery. if the government decided not to go through with brexit they would be technically ignoring a minority. they're would be no civil war.

I'm very highly educated. I know words, i have the best words, nobody has better words then me.

    A majority voted to leave.

That's not relevant, the government isn't going to ignore the result.

tough ****. Democracy may not give the results we like, but the government has to respect the wishes of the majority

f Trident moves, the whole base will move with it.

You mean, someone cuts around the land surrounding Coulport and Faselane and transports it to where Trident goes? Does that include the deep water and mountain as well?
