I don't think you have anything to worry about. As far as I'm aware, last year while the Lions were looking for a new GM, the Packers blocked a request the Lions made to interview Wolf.
I don't see why they would be willing to let him interview for other jobs this time round.

Tbh, I don't know the ins and outs of GM searches.
I just had a look around & found an article, from earlier this year about the blocked Wolf interview, which I assume suggests that there must be different processes than with the hiring of a head coach .

    MVP: Matt Ryan
    OPOTY: Ezekiel Elliot
    OROTY: Ezekiel Elliot
DPOTY: Khalil Mack (though it's a tough one)
DROTY: not sure, though Buckner (49ers) and Ramsey (Jags) are getting a good deal of hype.
COTY: Jack Del Rio... though Belichick, Garrett and Dan Quinn would all be deserving winner also.

Off the top of my head, that's who I'd go for anyway.

MVP: Tom Brady (its a toss up between TB12, Elliot and Ryan but based on current form, which of these 3 would you want on your team? Brady hands down but MVP is entirely open to interpretation, can see Ryan winning it based on voters citing obsecure passing stats and then him going 1 and done in the playoffs)
    OPOTY: Ezekiel Elliot
    OROTY: Dak Perscott
    DPOTY: Khalil Mack
    DROTY: Joey Bosa
    Comeback: Jordy Nelson
COTY: Belichick (won't win it tho, it'll always goes to the coach who made an average team above average)

It's not a best player in the league award though otherwise we could just hand it to one of Brady or Rodgers in week 1, it's (ideally) for the player who has had the best regular season, and that has to be Ryan really who has consistently been getting it done from week 1; he's had two games with a passer rating under 90 (one under 80) compared to eight with a passer rating over 120, including all of the last four games of the year. Rodgers had the slow start, Brady missed a quarter of the year where his team went 3-1 and has had a pretty soft schedule compared to the other two. I'm not definite on this, but think I read Ryan had the hardest schedule of the three in terms of pass defenses they played also.

There's really nothing obscure about being the third most accurate passer (0.1% behind Brees, with Bradford in first who just dinks and dunks all day), having 9.3 yards per attempt over a full yard ahead of second place, being second in the league in passing yards (only 56 off 5,000) and second for TDs with 38 while spreading the ball all over the place to his receivers and making up for a very poor defense that in my opinion probably would have seen them finish outside the playoffs and possible even with a losing record rather than the second seed, had their QB play just been average-to-decent.

I'm a homer for Rodgers obviously and think he deserved second, but I just don't see how anyone can look past Matt Ryan for MVP this year. The absolute only thing he has against him there is name recognition, which shouldn't even be a factor.

Good shouts on Bosa and Jordy though, I forgot the comeback award which has to be a slam dunk.

But a lot of voters will vote for MVP as the best player while others will vote for it as literally the most valuable. As most valuable, arguably all Ryans stats are aided by his better supporting cast than Brady, Julio Jones and very good running backs. Elliot has a mammoth Oline which has boosted the numbers of their previous Dallas' RBs. I mentioned before that people will say Brady isn't the most valuable as they won 3 games without him but the same people will then not even vote for BB as best coach. Most Valuable is completely open to the interpretation to the voter, who grade different players supporting casts differently to support their case. It should be an award for the best player as to me taking MVP literally makes no sense as players who are carrying crappy teams never are considered e.g. Drew Brees, the Saints would probably be the Browns without him.

To me, Ryan's Yrds Per Catch stat is a bit of an obscure and somewhat unimportant stat as its completely dependent on the type of offense you play in. Brady is never going to "win" that stat so its not really fair to compare them using that start.

Anyway i digress, MVP like the Pro Bowl is a stupid award as very few MVPs actually win the only prize that matters, the Super Bowl (less than 10%). So all this voting is based on the regular which means nothing as soon as the playoffs start.

Something definitely weird and wacky, Denver DIDNT make the playoffs? That cant be right, I thought the reigning superbowl champions were actually better than last year? Something not right there...

But in seriousness, both teams participating inlast years Superbowl not making the playoffs is unusual. I know there was a long streak of teams who won it not making it to playoffs the year after, but for both is unusual.

Yeah, basically they had a slight regression on both offence and defence this year. I know they won the SB last year, but they were very close to getting the 5 or 6 seed. I look at last year's team as a team that got hot in the playoffs a la Ravens in 2012 and Giants in 2011 rather than a winner that was clearly the best team in the land like the 2004 Patriots.

And to be fair, I think they had the toughest schedule of all NFL teams this season. I think they have a real chance of bouncing back. If Siemian can improve a little, and get a decent OL, he will give them enough at quarterback to become a 10-12 win team again.

where is JRG, he might have some strong opinions but he was spot on with osweiler.

A certain Broncos fan really has gone quiet during the season alright! :p

They were great against the pass (#1 for yards, yards per attempt, least passing TDs), but gave up the fourth most running yards in the league, ranking #20 for YPA and rushing TDs against. But as plenty of people said, with that wretched offense they were always at risk.

Which he only made public after Osweiler jumped ship. Funny that! :)

They beat THE BEARS in game one of pre season. It's easy to see why someone would get excited about the possibilities.

So alshon tells us anyway. He must be expecting us to do something miraculous with the cap space we'll create when he's let go.

9ers fans, your troubles are over!

Ugh, I hate AMP on Google so much. Anyway rob Schneider wants to buy the 9ers and get them back on the road to greatness. Hard to see how he could be any worse than Yorke, but some of his films might tell us another story.

Well they were unstoppable in the preseason.

It all went downhill after the 49ers coaches shouted mean things at them during the joint practice. They just never recovered emotionally.

This is the same revisionism that is being used to make Elway look smart for not paying him. Like JRG wanting him to stay but not at that price, Elway still offered him stupid money to stay ($16m vs $18m, $30m guaranteed vs $37m guaranteed), it’s just his luck that the Texan’s were more incompetent that stopped Elway looking incredibly foolish.

Made some bold claims and is now in hiding after said bold claims :D

To be fair though the only ones high on Osweiller were Broncos fans before they traded him and the Texans and Bill O'Brien. I think everyone thought the Texans overpaid and Osweiller was yet unproven.

Look at Jimmy G. Had a fantastic start as a started and now many experts believe the Pats could possibly get a first round pick for him which wouldn't surprise me with all the desperation in the league. It's a QB league and many teams will overpay to get one.

It just proves hindsight is such a wonderful thing. Could you imagine if Osweiller actually worked out at the Texans and killed it? Same Broncos fans would be throwing Elway under the bus for not paying him.

Brian Dawkins, Jason Taylor, LT are in the final 15 of the 2017 hall of fame.

Morten Anderson and don Coryell are also one of the finalists.
