The app power toggles has sorted the sound profile problem. Highly recommend it if anyone else having the same problem.

Question about the battery, I charged it to 100 percent about 20 minutes ago it's now at 88% saying 'approx 3 hours left'. Gonna leave it alone for a while but what are people's thoughts on the battery in general?

It doesn't seem like there was a major rush for these this morning. The website wasn't under any strain and is still showing as shipping immediately on the site. Hopefully it will be the same next week when they release here.

    ^^^

It's just a replacement version (albeit slightly better) of the same phone :)

apart from all the upgrades i only want the extra 400 mah battery. which i guess doesn't warrant the extra 40euros. The 821 snapdragon and 16mp front camera doesn't really persuade me to change my OP3. Still one of the best Mid range phone out there with high specs. Content with my Op3 <3

I dont think there was any real expectations for it to sell out immediately.

That is obviously entirely up to each individual user!

yes its just extra storage as this phone can't be expanded by memory card. so if you want more storage for photos, videos and other files then go with 128gb. Again each to individual user, some might be contented with 64gb like me

I'll be going with the 128gb.

    I've a HTC one M8 at moment 16gb internal and a 64gb sd card.

4gb left on sd card, I'd probably be able to knock a couple of gigs off that if I went through it looking for unused items.

I'm going to go with the 128gb, it's not much extra than the 64gb and at least I'd have plenty of flexibility.

Granted its just 16gb of course but my current phone is driving me nuts not having enough space for app updates etc and having to watch media storage etc.

Much of the sd card is taken up with app data, music, videos and some games. And worked related stuff that doesn't make for easy or fast access to or from Drive or Dropbox etc

I never have problems with running out of space. What takes up all the space?

Family videos (From a few phones before my OP3) and downloaded music from Deezer for offline listening for me.

This is clearly a strategy from OnePlus to increase price of their phones.
The OP4 will be out in 6/12 and better again but because the OP3T will still be recent and quite up to date, so it will probably command a 60 euro premium over OP3T and hey presto OnePlus will have justified increasing the price of their flagship by 100 euro in a year.

Separately according to ads on the tube, the OP3T will be available for sale in O2 stores on Nov 28th (in UK)

I don't know but as far as I know the OP3 PAYG have been, OnePlus have never wanted their phones locked to a carrier.

why would O2 go to the bother of selling phones that can immediately be used with a rival carriers sim...?

They're playing a bit of a high stakes game if you ask me, they're main selling point is reasonably priced phone with a spec comparable to some of the more high end well known brands. As the price gap gets closer to the more we'll know phones people might decide they may as well just bridge the gap and go for the branded phone. Couple this with the current situation where the only thing you can buy on their website at the moment is a bag or a t shirt, people might just decide they're not worth the effort.
I've been waiting a number of weeks to buy any phone off their website (OP3 or OP3T) but I can't, last week they had a big launch of the OP3T but I still can't buy one for another week...
The whole thing sounds like an omnishambles of the highest order, you could put up with it if the saving was massive, you'd be less likely to put up with it if the savings were only marginal.

Do Oneplus still support and release updates for the 2 and X?

You were given a perfectly valid answer, so maybe you're the one who needs to grow up. Some people keep loads of media on their phone, some don't. Some prefer to use the cloud for storage, some don't. "Need" is entirely dependent on personal preferences and habits. If you require an explanation of why anyone might want the extra storage, then it's likely that you probably don't "need" it.

That was in regards to the porn response that was quite stupid. I found the 'obviously its different for each person' to be a little condescending.

You were given a dismissive response after you chose to take the hump initially over some fairly sound advice.

If you've a good data plan and good WiFi at home, I see no reason to "need" 128gb. That's obviously my personal preference because I use Google for backing up my photos and for backing up and streaming my music.

I didn't take the hump, it was a dismissive answer that I've no time for. Tbf the second part of your post was the kind of answer I was looking for.

Looks unlikely. The did an ama yesterday and that was the most asked question but it wasn't answered.
