    I'm a bit soppy but the part where he promised his mam all those years ago that she'd be in the cage in there when he claims gold and for her to be there was a great moment.

    UFC 189 will be hard to top but i've high hopes tonight blows it out of the water. Everyone is gonna bring their A-game.

    I'll never forget watching the Mendes fight in a mate's house with a few others, all had our heads in our hands sitting down during the 2nd, but the transition from the escape from the guillotine attempt to the TKO punch resulted in the glass table in his sitting room getting shattered! :D

    Any chance that Eddie is carrying an injury? In the media weigh-in the way he knelt down to take his shoes off reminded me alot of how I had to move when I ffuucked up my back

    I'd say there are completely 0 fighters going into tonight with a clean bill of health. They will all be carrying knocks, bruises and niggling injuries.

    But....i have to agree he wasn't moving very fluid or naturally. Might just have been nervous tension.

    eddie has a very old school mindset as regards training aswel so id say hes either injured or sore 90% of the time

    He had two shiners earlier on in the week too. Must've still been sparing hard enough last week.

    Look at his face ffs one very obvious black eye and clear bags under them hes looked terrible in the face, having to fly to Connecticut to do interviews the week of the fight isnt his norm,


    He's too close with Mark Henry his striking coach to go out there tonight and only wrestle imo.

    He drove to Hartford, it's only down the road.
    If he has black eyes it's from sparing or the weight cut.

    I've been getting less confident about McGregor winning the closer it gets. I don't think it goes past 3 rounds with either a McGregor KO/TKO or Eddie wins it wrestling or just by putting McGregor under a lot of pressure from the bell that he forces a gap out of tiredness.

    The quality of the card has only really hit home this week. Holy sh*t.
