I'm not calling you a rapist or a rapist sympathiser.

Rape culture does not mean every man is a rapist, how does that make any sense, it means that alot of rapes and sexual assaults are happening due to grey issues with consent, and alot of these are not being convicted due to grey areas of sentencing.

I'm sorry, but you're wrong. See the definition below:

The definition of rape culture and what it entails is a society that "fosters and encourages rape by instructing citizens that it is normal and natural for sexual relations to involve aggressive behavior on the part of males." (Barnet, Sligar & Wang 2016)

So you ARE accusing ALL men, no wonder they get defensive.

You are confusing "rape culture" with "promiscuity culture", which DEFINITELY exists. The sooner you accept this, the better for all of us, ESPECIALLY rape victims, whose woes you are just diluting.

To the contrary, and you know that's a lie.

Women on here have said there's a rape culture, but as usual, it's been shot down.

Because there isn't one. There are women on here who claim there isn't one too. Do their opinions not matter? Do the opinions of men not matter on the subject?

You can state all you want, it doesn't mean it's accurate. I could say the moon is made of cheese but it doesn't make it true.

Get off before me. I also call your post total and utter bull****. What of anything important is that contributing?
That's fine, you won't answer the simple question.

    Emmmmm.......yes?
So let's say, for example, you had a bag of marijuana.
    Bag... Marijuana... Bag... Marijauna...
So heroin sack is a good name for it?

You don't have a problem with other posters doing it, so why are you getting all worked up about me :)

    Bull****

Lack of consent in sex is rape.

You do grasp this basic concept?

Brainwashed by the patriarchy man... those poor women don't know what they're saying... only militant feminist SJWs do...

These deluded feminists throwing the rape culture term around are dangerous and should be avoided. To me these are the kind of women that would accuse men of all sorts at the drop of a hat.

By all means criticise them online but if you know one in your circle avoid like the plague.

    Vile, deluded and dangerous.

Rape is extremely uncommon and widely condemned.
Do you have a problem with those simple facts?
Let me guess, it's time to pretend everything besides rape is rape too, yeah?

To the "days" and "attitudes" (read VALUES) when people had a healthy respect for sex, as opposed to using it like a drug? To a system which valued faithfullness and fidelity in relationships and where women were treated with dignity and equality instead of being objects?

    Eh, yes, I actually do.

Even if we arraigned teams of lawyers and weeks of negotiations to form a document of consent to ensure compliance. In the heat of the moment, consent is always going to be a grey area. Especially if alcohol is involved.

A discussion on consent is welcome. Enforced consent classes being forced upon teens who are nervous enough about their sexual future after being raised by a litany of female teachers in a feminised education system. Totally unacceptable.

Shrill femininist idiocy will be met with rebellion eventually. Trump is a bellweather for this victim mentality.

    Says who.

Show me an Irish study that says that rape is extremely uncommon, and that you're not just pulling it out of your ass.

I don't need to. Common sense and rational thinking makes it obvious.

You are making the claims, show us the evidence!

Very hard to get concise numbers but it is low. If you were to ask the first 100 women you meet on the street if they had ever been raped most would say no. I'd imagine a lot of rape survivors were abused as children or by their spouse. It's not something most women will experience.

Oh, abuse. Very good. Anybody else notice it's the ones who scream the loudest about some group or other being abused who are by far the most likely to come out with this stuff?
Now, I'm assuming here that any number I come up with, you'll say "that makes it common"?
In 2014 there were 35 convictions for rape in Ireland.

Now, since you haven't answered my question: is being felt up in a club the same as forcible penetrative sex?

EDIT: Glad I caught your abuse before your ninja edit. Repent at leisure eh?

5% say they were raped but there is no context to that.

You're demanding Irish rape conviction figures while dishing out college surveys... who'll notice the difference, eh?

I doubt there has been a study on whether rape is extremely uncommon.

Global comparison on this site shows Ireland in 38th place after countries like Sweden, US and other advanced and poor economies.

    http://www.nationmaster.com/country-info/stats/Crime/Rape-rate

I am going to take a gamble here as the Irish figures appear to be from 2010 (figures have since fallen) that these figures are weighted a little by the clergy scandal so not entirely a female centric figure.

    Ah right. Claim = fact.
I claim I am right and you are wrong. Therefore you have to accept that as a fact.
    Sorry.

So if rape happens it's culturally acceptable.

I doubt them figures to be honest. I'd blame the feminist rehetoric of late that brainwashes girls into perpetual victimhood. Example, if you regret sex the next morning you were raped ( females only)

Au contraire. There are other studies on Ireland's conviction rates, which I will supply now.

That's a dangerous and frankly frightening comment to make.

"Those trials ended with 35 convictions"
Erm, I'm having deja vu or did somebody just say exactly that when asked what the Irish rape incidence rate was... oh yeah it was me. About 10 minutes ago.

    From the last study:

The rate of convictions in 2013 for all of those charged with rape was just 19%, but the rate for those who actually contested the charges was less than 7%.

    Any thoughts on this?
