Estates where the emergency services are the enemy.

I had the misfortune of working in an estate in with huge social problems.

One day while I was there, a chap ,v drunk and high, and some of his mates started beating the crap out of their girlfriends. Seriously beating them, all the while the locals stood and watched. Gardai and ambulance pulled up and were immediately attacked themselves by the crowd.

Even the girls who were after having the crap kicked out of them started attacking the gardai. The ambulance had all its windows smashed and 2 Gardai ended up in hospital.

The playground is constantly locked due to vandalism, there are more dealers than legitimately employed people and motor tax/insurance/nct are "not for them".

The money spent on services and supports for the estate is scary, ESP when far more deserving ones have to do without.

Sounds like something out of a Irvine Welsh novel.

That's a kip of a place. A girl from school lived there when she started in AIT, not even a month there when a group of teenagers attacked her and she ended up in university hospital Galway with the threat of losing her eye. And then his family had the nerve to track her down and ask her to drop the charges.

"Garda scum" written on the wall on the way into estate

I'd have made sure he got seeing to

There is a designated area for a certain non-stationary, vibrant, ethnic minority just off the main road into town.

    Everywhere in Ireland,

And the top one  Can you give a hint where this is ?

I don't think it's that the kids all have similar physical features
But a lot of the children in poor areas do look neglected and would uniformly have a pale, wan appearance because of they're mostly very poor diet
There are kids in poor parts of India and Africa who have a better diet then some of the children who come into my office.
Mammy likes her highlights her iPhone 6 and her John Player blue and daddy likes his cans and his tattoos and his sky sports and there isn't much money left over for anything more than Lidl chicken nuggets and oven chips.
There's also the uniform trackie bottoms trainers and long sleeved t shirt for little boys and same for little girls just Frozen leggings from Penneys instead of trackies
The "no 1" haircut for the boys seems to be obligatory too so it's easy to see how to some people they may all appear to have the same father
In some instances yes a lot of the children may indeed have the same father, or they're fathers may all come from the same 2 or 3 brothers
If the government would just give them more money then they would possibly go to Tesco instead but the government are keeping all the money for themselves aren't they?
That's what Sinn Fein said anyway when they knocked on the door telling them not to pay the water bill

Hey have to make their earnings somehow. Sure, plenty of people gullible enough to believe it, sure you can't be expecting the wurking class to do things for themselves

Up a tree? Impressive. All that lying around doing nothing during the day, how did they get the energy?

    This post has been deleted.

Poor grammar is the clincher, everybody saying ' done' and 'seen' and 'went' instead of 'did' an 'saw' and 'gone'.

That, and a gathering of dogs cocking their legs over produce stacked outside Minimarket doors.
