Do schools have the mobile numbers of all parents to inform them of updates? Mobiles that could be doing de text messaging were just about invented so to speak when I left school.

Does Joe have any idea what this strike is about?

It is not about junior cert reforms. It isn't about substitution. It is not about pay rates generally.

It's about the pay rates for people who have joined since 2011. The amount of money being sought is not a lot, the Government are already about to provide 50% of it or more in January.

Yet that hasn't been discussed once. In fairness the teachers are just as bad. Nobody's talking about the reasons for the strike.

Mortgages are the same rate but houses in Longford are about 25% of the cost of a similar house in Dublin.
