Thought Duffy was very rude to the teacher yesterday. I didn't agree with her, but she didn't deserve to have Duffy roaring at her. He doesn't have even the manners to do the job these days, never mind the other "talents" required.

I thought her opinions were very out there and Joe was attempting to provide some balance (I know, i know!)

I see Joe passed comment on the "big burly tattooed shaven headed coppers beating the scum off the streets of Blighty" again yesterday. He's mentioned this a few times over the years. You really do have to wonder what the world looks like through his eyes.....

We need some of those coppers to sort out our water protesters. Even the Mick and Claire superheroes would think twice about breaking into airports.

Maybe I missed something at the start but Duffy barged in when she was dismissed a point that he had made (and we all know that his is the most important opinion on the show, so that's a cardinal sin), but he barged across her and said something like "hang on, you've been holding everybody else to account, so you can just dismiss that argument". I just thought it was very rude the way that he did it.

In fairness, she was dismissive too when teachers striking was brought up and said hat it was beside the point. Anyway she was giving auld guff.

So the only difference between their cops and ours is the tattoos.

Apparently. And having a tattoo makes you a thug. I honestly don't know what reality cop shows he watches, in all the ones I see the police are completely professional, even the ones with tattoos.

    Celeb Updates

I see thread favourite Katherine Thomas has made the front page of the Indo not for a relative having a close shave with a disaster this time but because she has become affianced to her beau Pat. "I cried my eyes out". Wonder will she be sending out Vera Wang invitations like your wan off Expose

Ah here I'm calling auld Guff on this! Those road wars and brit-cops etc are not proper police perspns, they are clearly acting up when on camera and their responses to the most minor of roadside stop-check is to smash in all the windows and drag the granny out spraying everyone with pepper spray and screaming STOP RESISTING again and again like some water meter protestor, those cops are like big muscle mary's jacked up on steeroids.

Do retired members of The Old Bill call get called by UK radio stations in the same way our lot do?

Four fire trucks are currently at the scene as firefighters try to extinguish the blaze. The supermarket, located in Fortunestown Shopping Centre in Tallaght, has been evacuated.
It kept us warm on this cold morning, Joe

Have I been missing anything during my Liveline exile.

    I assume its been:

Tales of young lads causing havoc to poor old ladies and animals at Halloween

Joe trying to create hysteria about how every house in Ireland will be burgled on Friday

Mammies and wives of Guards ringing in telling how bad a job it is, how bad the pay is and that they even have to pay for their own pensions now (imagine that?)

Teachers ringing in during 1 of their 14 (or 18) weeks holidays a year telling how bad a job it is, how bad the pay is and that they even have to pay for their own pensions now (imagine that?)

Taxi drivers ringing in telling the teachers and Guards Mammies how they are bleedin lucky to have a job.
