I'll tell you the number one thing wrong with The Mac Life series. And it's so easy to put right.

Conor doesn't talk enough in them.

People lap up every word he says. All they'd have to do is have him mic'd up strolling around town or the gym and then throw in a minute or 2 of him having the craic with the lads. The previous episode when they were in Yamamori - i'm sure you could have got loads of good stuff with him having a laugh with Peter, Charlie and Artem.

That'd immediately triple the views from 400,000 to over 1 million. The footage is interesting but what people really want to see is him having a bit of banter and talking. It'd be a complete cost-free exercise too.

I think the videos will pick up as the fight approaches. Personally I'm not interested in seeing him eat. I want to see that prefight tension.

I think he has a pain in his bollox with promoting in all aspects and wont go out his way.

Am I the only one with an inexplicable man love for Dillon Danis?

I would love, purely for the public reaction, for Eddie to pummel Conor for a couple of rounds then take him down and just when it looks like lights out, Conor snags a heel hook and Eddie taps.

Dillon is the man. He'll be like Gunni very soon - adopted and claimed by the Irish. Dillon o' Danis.

I wish he'd tone down all the "they fear me" type guff.

If he's over here any longer he'll end up with an Irish twang like Gunni and Artem

I would pay good money to see him in a straight BJJ match with Nate Diaz.

He's got his hands full with Jackson Souza at Polaris on saturday. Keenan Cornelius barely scraped by Souza in the semi's a few years ago. Might have been a brown belt at the time?

Looking forward to it big time. Tom Breese is on the card for any UFC fans.

Not to be "that guy" but where could you watch that event?

It's on PPV unfortunately but fair price. $20 / €18.

Prelims will be live streamed on their youtube page, main card PPV.

I can think of worse ways to spend 20 quid!

Durinho (of ufc fame Gilbert burns you might know him as) is matched with Gary Tonon, brave enough considering his mma career might be put on hold when Gary locks up a heel hook.

Just had a look and it looks like it's on at a decent time too. Might tune in.

For any newbies or just for veterans who haven't seen it in a while.....It's my go-to video if i need cheering up :D. That and the BBC Planet Earth 2 Trailer which is phenomenal.

It's the subtle jabs that have me in stitches, like when he blasts Nate with all the 'Anything over 40 G's he owes me. That's what he what he made in his last fight.' and 'Then the God came along and blessed him' with a big smile on his face, and then snapping back:

    'Now about that COFFEE!'

    Hahahah

In the latest promo vid from UFC Eddie talks about his plan to put away Conor; power shots, wobble him, and then submit him, very much along the lines of the first Nate fight.

Interesting. I suppose if I was Eddie I'd be thinking - how did I put RDA away? Feint and power shot, then follow up with the usual Alvarez Flurry.

I wonder if he'll go for that with Conor - personally I can't see him landing a straight over hand on Conor, his reach isn't long enough. Could he spin him off the cage and do it?

Eddie's overhand is lovely, it's a real straight power punch, if he lands that on anyone they'd wobble. Conor will be wanting to avoid that - will we see Conor back up a bit rather than the usual walking the opponent down?

Conor was walking THROUGH Mendes shots. Now, that might have been the adrenaline. He said afterwards he just went in wanting to tear the head off him. But it's also possible as soon as he felt Mendes power, he realised it wouldn't trouble him.

He'll absolutely respect Eddies power. He'd be a fool not to and he's no fool.

Eddie is fond of that spinning back-fist as well and when it lands it usually arcs to the back of the head. RDA is a great fighter but it's a lot easier to close the distance on him than it is on Conor (when he's in Buchinger-mode anyway).

All this speculation is good fun but let's remember we went through all this for the Aldo fight too and he just took Aldo clean out. And honestly i'd make Aldo favourite against Eddie at 155.

Maybe it's my bias but i don't see anything other than Conor by KO/TKO. It'd make my year if he somehow pulled out a submission win!! The biggest "F U" possible to his haters to beat an elite grappler by submission to claim a 2nd world title :)

Yeah I get you. There's a lot to be said for the official event thread. Seems a safer haven. Until a week before the event. 😂

What time is the McGregor fight?

    About half past I reckon.

Give or take 30 minutes either side.

    This is true,
I would pay good money to see him in a straight BJJ match with Nate Diaz.

I'd expect him breeze through Nate in a pure BJJ setting pretty easily.
Nate has a great BJJ in the UFC, but competition BJJ is a different game. He no doubt has the skills to succeed there too, but he's not playing the game regularly, verses Danis who is doing it full time.
