So, cell-phone company re-issue number of deceased person?

So what? Everybody dies sooner or later - every number will be re-used eventually.

He's dead over a year. These companies will freeze a number for about a year and then it goes back into the system.

I've got numbers on my sim that I never bothered deleting. Some of them are probably dead by now. Maybe I should call them just to check and put a fright up the new owners.
