Ah yeah sure, ignore all of Alvarez's build up to fights before, ignore Conor and Kavs plan before the last Diaz fight. Sure ignore all the evidence and claim I am an armchair psychologists. By the way, as someone who uses psychology in my fights (pro wrestling, you can can chat sh1t if you want but it is a huge thing in our business) I think I have a way better grasp of what is and isn't real than a "MMA fan" (it's in brackets because I doubt you've ever been in a high octane situation like this in your life). So go back to your posts trying to grasp likes and stop being an ass, because I guarantee the evidence and the experience backs my point way more than it backs your thank grabbing sh1t.

Thats a "high octane" post right there!!

    WTF?!?!

I don't mind a lad actually making points against my post. Cool, tell me where I am wrong and I'll either tell you what I meant or I'll admit I was wrong. But when a lad is just trying for thanks then he deserves a "high octane" post. There is clear evidence from both Eddie and Conors previous pressers to back up what I said. Sure, show me where I am wrong and I'll go "yeah, fair point". But when someone is being a d1ck for the sake of being a d1ck I'm just going to be a d1ck right back.

McGregor postures up and stands off his heels a bit for the staredown

He does yeah but even when he was standing straight on he looked taller (see pic from earlier below).

Maybe McGregor is wearing some chunky heels but any chance that Eddie is actually a little shorter than the 5ft 9" he's supposed to be?

I'm just going by UFC stats which say he is 5ft 9.

    http://www.ufc.com/fighter/eddie-alvarez

If that's wrong, makes you wonder what other fighter stats they have wrong.

to be fair it really seems like the ''official'' ufc stats are a bit all over the place

What psychology do you use in your fights?
What evidence from previous fights are you talking about?

  • I had a look at the charter again but it's a grey area
Has the presser been uploaded to YouTube? Or is it copyright infringement?

Why would it be copywrite infringement?
It's a press conference, the whole point of it is to circulate it via the media to garner interest.

From what I can see Alvarez has a big problem with Conor. His constant repeating of big boy belt and little boy belt confirms that a previous episode with a sibling or possibly school mate has tainted the way he looks at the world. Conors brash aggressive manner has dragged him back to this period of his life. Also its clear from Eddies facial expressions that he is harboring ill will towards his grandfather, more than likely on his mothers side. This would of stemmed from a past childhood experience where his teddy would of been taken away too aggressively.
So to summarise , Conor is in his head!!!!

Ah look at you with your chest all puffed out in full keyboard warrior mode :) Very cute, I'll be sure to go back and read this "high octane" post later on to give it the attention it so clearly deserves.

Your initial post was waffle, amateur hour pseudo psychological tripe that came from nowhere only your own interpretation of a performance........at a press conference.........designed to hype a fight. This is a common occurrence especially around McGregor fights and I for one find it hilarious.

For an even better example of it see paulieeye's post, genuine quality there. Both posts have the same merit in terms of psychoanalysis of course

I'm not here to debate that. I was only wondering if anyone had a link of it so I could watch it. Just wasn't sure about the rules.

It always becomes available at the same UFC url as the live stream (starts at 20 mins in):

    any hotel advice guys?

    70 Park Avenue Hotel ?

    Manhattan Times Square ?

    Hudson Hotel Central Park ?

Not the cheapest, but the Grand Hyatt is the best situated hotel in New York.

Doors from the lobby lead directly into Grand Central Station, and it's about a five minute walk from Times Square.

I stayed at Sofitel NY about 6 years back. It might be very expensive because I vaguely remember getting some 70% off type of deal, but if you can get a good price it's ana amazing location (around 100m off Times Square) and very, very high up for a great view and silence. Hotel itself looked amazing and the rooms were great. Good staff too, would highly recommend.

For those on a budget looking at hostels, I stayed in one in Toronto for a few weeks when I first got there and anyone that had been to NYC recommended HI Hostel in new York. Never bee but just a suggestion. Though a heads up since I made friends with some of the staff I nth hostel I was staying at... their Toronto one does not allow alcohol on the premises (never heard of that I no backpacker hostel before!!)

His "We Irish built New York" comment was hilarious.

The way Alvarez said "number one" repeatedly at the end was weird, creepy and unsettling

That came across very weird, his voice didn't help.
Not to be rude but it sounded like someone who lost their carer in a park or something.
