    Longest swim that I've had in a few years. It was also the most painful. It's not what you would think.

    Mexican food seemed like a good idea for lunch. The chips and five pepper salsa two hours before I swam sounded even better. Incredible heartburn and everything sitting at the bottom of my throat for the entire swim has made me rethink some of my choices yesterday.

    I nearly chewed through the bottle of antacid to get it open in my car after the swim. Let's just say 'lesson learned'.

    880m tonight (22m pool) due to the pool being dangerous and disgusting.

    The pool engineer decided to turn on a 2" pipe with scalding water in the swimming lanes. The pool was a different temperature every few metres. The water in the pool was 3" above the gutters. Add to the mess the water was incredibly cloudy.

    Absolutely disgusted with the state of the pool. The manager was not around, so I took my message to social media.

    I'm in the States (outside of Chicago). It's a club that I belong to in Orland Park. Riviera Country Club. The joke of the matter is that they are closing it on Tuesday for their yearly maintenance.

    How did Glendalough go for ye? I was a little disappointed, it wasnt chipped. My friend's time was 3 minutes faster on the results sheet than the time he saw on the clock. :confused:
