If I am right , its wasn't ak's that were found relating to the Donegal lad. It was Chinese and Romanian weapons ..........
" including a Chinese Type 56, a Romanian PM63 and a Zastava M70, as well as three magazines suitable for use in each rifle"

Whatever they were, none were matched to the Regency. Contrary to reports at the time too.

So Jason Kearns was the man that got shot in crumlin today. He may be related to Darren Kearns?? the man that got killed by the kinahans because they thought he tried to kill one of them at the red cow

Yep we definitely have the joint enterprise rule alright.

One thing is a bit puzzling. I believe the AKs were fired during the incident. There was 2 separate seizures of AKs in the weeks and months afterwards, but no news on ballistics tests matching any of them to the Regency.
Just how many of them are in circulation?

Fairly sure the Donegal boy charged and quietly locked up was carrying the Regency weapons when he was caught a month afterwards.

Might be my memory but I'm fairly sure there was guns seized in Meath off dissidents only a day or two before Noel Duggan was killed?

Donegal man caught with gun were not used in regency.

    http://www.sundayworld.com/news/crimedesk/two-men-charged-with-possession-of-ak47s-in-meath-last-week

    http://m.belfasttelegraph.co.uk/news/republic-of-ireland/ratoath-three-arrested-after-seizure-of-guns-including-ak47s-in-co-meath-34570617.html

These's guy caught 24 hour after Duggans murder not dissos only specifies ak47. 1 released without charge 1 got bail and the other is remanded I think.

Assault weapons used in regency were AKM variant

I find in strange how low key the Media's outrage (and print) is now that this victim has turned out to be a totally innocent poor fella, as opposed to if it had of been a KInahin or Hutch as initially speculated.

And no sign of the Political will to crush this gangs on the foot of an innocent man's death, unlike when Veronica Guerin was murdered and the response to bring these people to justice.

Perhaps he wasn't such a "totally innocent poor fella" after all? Perhaps official Ireland know more about this story than what was initially reported by Spanish press, which was based on Jonathan Hutch telling them the gunman was after him? I've no doubt Hutch was the intended target but was the victim just some "totally innocent poor fella" with no association to Hutch?

    Just sayin.....

We all think how can they murder an innocent and to make sense we try to imagine he must have done something to deserve it.
But with this new breed of "for hire" amateur scum, they don't give a **** who they kill.

Most parents love their children and think they are great, but you only have to read the below article to see this man was a great father to his kids and his own father is devastated they could murder a wonderful human being like Trevor!

I'm sure he was a lovely, caring father etc and have no doubt his family are absolutely devastated but just putting it out there that MAYBE official Ireland know more about this than is being reported. That although he was killed in an obvious case of mistaken identity that MAYBE there's more to it than he was just randomly talking to Jonathan Hutch and had no idea who he was?

No, there is not more to it.

I agree with his point though - I do find it odd just the basics were reported and not much else.

Perhaps is it a class thing?
If the poor man was from Donnybrook and not Drimnagh, would there be more of a media story?
Remember the Berkeley tragedy? If those young people were all from Drimnagh, would the media have reported it in the same manner?

The main stream media have reported that

    a) Irish man killed in case of mistaken identity and
    b) His family are devastated
    c) His neighbours said how nice he was

All of this is undoubtedly true.

But why is there no more of a back story coming out on this? Its odd to say the least. On the radio last week, a presenter tried to edge the conversation that way asking a PBP TD why there was no "public outcry" - they were digging at something.

    A lot of maybes.
No information to suggest otherwise, not a thing.
Why wait to kill a man on his holidays in Spain?

I am guessing hutch associates were there!

"Prominent drug dealers from Dublin were in a pub that was the scene of a potential attack over the weekend."

What the phuck does that even mean?

Technically my bedroom is the scene of a potential threesome with Mila Kunis and Margot Robbie, but it's probably not going to come to pass.

Is there some sort of covenant among the Gardai and media, regarding Patrick Hutch Jr and his upcoming trial? There were numerous reports the other week about a failed attempt to shoot his father, and none of the articles mentioned he was awaiting trial over the Regency attack.

There you go. It's just that you haven't seen it.

    August 3
Judge Conal Gibbons noted he faced a murder charge and said the request was reasonable given the gravity of the allegation. Mr Hutch was further remanded in custody to appear at the same court on August 17th next for the DPP’s directions to be obtained.
Det Sergeant Mick Mulligan told the court the DPP is deciding whether to issue a certificate for the Special Criminal Court. A book of evidence has yet to be prepared

What about above date hardly next year?

Well Bam Bam maybe I have heard something but I'll leave it to the journo's to draw the picture.

I don't recall saying he was the intended target - quite the opposite - I said he was a victim of mistaken identity - Jonathan Hutch was obviously the target.

What I've taken issue with is the version of the story that has Mr O'Neill randomly chatting to Hutch when he was gunned down. I think there may be a lot more to the connection here than is being assumed by everyone....

What is the point of your replies if all they say is maybe this maybe that, if you know something say it, not trying to create an argument btw

Looks like LR got lifted in Castleknock with a load of coke and a gun (a rather rusty, decrepit looking Mac 11 at that).

While senior members have no doubt taken a personal role in some shootings for vengeance purposes you would think they would leave the possession of the guns and drugs to their underlings.
