Can anyone suggested a reliable supplier with UK/EU Sourced stock?

    Thanks

Few questions before I purchase an s7 edge.

Where is best to purchase an S7 edge from now? I'm after a sim free but not keen on buying from eBay or the likes. If I was to purchase from the Samsung online store would it be safe to have it delivered through Parcel Motel? Small saving to be made buying on their uk site over shops here that I have priced it and I can't seem to find an Irish Samsung store online anyway.

Is anyone using the backpack case? I have a similar battery case on my current s4 which I like but would it be needed on an s7 edge? If the backpack is not needed what case is recommended? I like a hard shell case because I can be clumsy with phones at the best of times.

Is there a wireless charger in the box? If not is it worthwhile buying one?

Don't know where you should be buying them, I got mine (brand new) on Adverts, recipt and all. About €100 cheaper than what shops were looking for at the time.

If you're clumsy definitely have a case! Screen repair is €350 afaik. I have an otterbox with no screen protector and it's survived a good few drops thus far. You won't need a battery pack unless you're a very heavy user.

As for the wireless charger, no, there's none in the box. I really don't see the need for them tbh, there's no real advantage other than the fact you don't have to plug in a cable, but, whether you want one or not, that's entirely a matter of opinion. They can be got for around ~€50 either online or in shops.

I purchased a new unopened and unlocked S7 on DoneDeal last month and if you buy wisely and carefully can be got at least €200 cheaper than phone shops. I also purchased a genuine Samsung Wireless fast charger stand from MobileFun for €39.50. I find it very convenient, just lay your phone on it and no fiddling about with a charger cable trying to connect. I use a SpigenTough Armor case and a screen protector as well bought from MobileFun.

Downloaded the Google keyboard on my S7 today, much better than the stock Samsung one. Would recommend it!

Switched from iPhone 6 plus to S7 edge, best decision I have made this year, gadget wise at least :D:D:D
Still in awe of it and beautiful display and camera.
I have a little gripe though, whenI am searching for number on google to call, I have to copy and paste into my phone number , is there something i am doing wrong can't seem to call directly from webpage.

Any business that comes up in a Google Search should have a call button. Tapping on any number in a web page will open dialer for me.

    You're using a particular browser?

Samsung service centre have quoted €230 so I'll go with them. They've asked for proof of purchase, just wondering if I should unroot the phone or just leave it as it is?

Was that in Dundrum? Dropped mine today, screen isn't smashed but all I'm getting is green flickering. :(

Just a few minutes ago I picked up my phone which had been on my bed charging and there are purple and green lines all over the screen... Had been fine not even 20 minutes ago. Anyone have any idea what might have caused this? The phone has had no drops at all and definitely no water damage..

Yeah, got my screen replaced, like new again. Happy with the (expensive) service. Took 4 working days. They didn't need the proof of purchase after all either as it wasn't an insurance repair.

Is there a way to have different notification sounds for different apps? On my s4 I had different sounds for sms/mail/twitter/FB but on the s7 edge, even after I change the sounds they just revert to the default as soon as the sound menu is closed.

When I was seeing if there was a fix for my phone I came across a few people complaining of your issue, the fix was a hard reset but some people had sent their phone away and received a new phone.

Thanks, I'll give that a shot! I've found that changing the display from adaptive to basic and having the brightness up higher hides it mostly too.

For the stock samsung mail and sms apps you change the sound inside notifications and sound menu and you can also change the default notification sound.

For all other apps it depends on the app as to whether you can change the sound. For example viber, whatsapp, hangouts, google messenger and inbox let you change the sound inside the app.

To download new sounds use Zedge like others have said. If you find you can't select a sound you can use a file manager to check that ringtones are in the ringtone folder and notifications are in the notification folder.

Looking on T-Dimension - Why is there a price difference because of the two model names? What's the difference between them and which would you recommend?

I got that FD model from them. Couldn't be happier with it. Works perfect. Seems to be the best price around.

Did you get hit with customs? How many days it took for delivery?

For me there was no customs charge and it arrived within 7 days.

Delivered in 7 days and no customs. I think how they work is that when you order, they get it shipped from China to their warehouse in UK and then forward to Ireland. Irish customs see it coming from the UK so that's why there is no customs.

With the phones off t-dimension, how does that affect the warranty?

Why so? Reading up, the FD (cheaper one) features a dual sim. Why is exynos better than SD 820?

I looked on phone more and it has the same processor
